Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ends Up Winning II Position In Chess Competition

Green Land Convent, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. emerged victorious in all (U-14, 17 & 19) category in Punjab School Board, Chess Competition at District Level held at BCM Sr. Sec. School, Shastri Nagar, Ldh. In Under-17 Boys grabbed I Position, in under-14 girls grabbed II Position & in Under-19 Girls & Boys got III Position. Students too chiseled their mental capabilities and succeeded in winning I, II & III Position.
Jaismen Kaur, Simarpreet Kaur, Gaganpreet Kaur, Hridesh, Avneet Singh & Sourav Saini were selected for State Level.
Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the winners & Chess Coach and applauded their efforts. She stated in encouraging words that such competitions should be held regularly to exhibit the plethora of talent amongst the children.

Green Lander Paddlers Hog Limelight

Stars of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ldh. proved their mettle by winning Second Position in Under 14 category & Third Position in Under – 17 category in Punjab Board Zonal Volley Ball Tournament 2015 held at Government Sr. Sec. School, Gobind Nagar, Ldh. from 13th August to 18th August, 2015. Sahil Verma, Manit, Pratham, Abhi Ratan, Harshminder, Pankaj & Sahil were selected in District Level. They made the teachers & parents feel proud with their glorious and outstanding performance. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the winners and applauded their relentless efforts.

Green Land Takes Another Leap

Green Land Convent School took another leap in Hockey tournament where in under 14 Boys captured III position & under 17 Boys got II position in a tournament organized by Punjab School Zonal at Delhi Public School on 13th & 14th August, 2015. By dint of their hard work nine students secured their position at District Level. The meritorious students were Jagdeep, Udey, Santa Singh, Manjot Singh (Under-14) & Arpit Sharma, Pargat Singh, Sachin Sharma, Santosh Kumar, Shobhit Kondal (Under-17). The Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated them and opined that such competitions always bring out the hidden talent of the students.

Green Land Celebrates Independence Day

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ludhiana celebrated 69th Independence Day with great patriotic fervor and enthusiasm. The glory and ambience of the school was really giving the look of a gala event. Everywhere Tri coloured balloons and flags were flying. The whole atmosphere was imbued with patriotic spirit. The students were attired as various freedom fighters.
The celebration started with the flag hoisting ceremony by Sh. Shabad Rudhra President of the Trust. Ms. Vijayata Rudhra, Director Green Land, Dugri, was the guest of honour. Patriotic songs like ‘Jalwa’, ‘Dulhan Chali’ & ‘Eh Dharti Desh Punjab Di’ were the attraction of the day. A cultural programme too thrilled every one and made all to tap their feet to the beat of music. Students raised the slogans like ‘Vande Matram’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. Sh. Shabad Rudhra completely embossed in patriotic spirit exhorted them to fulfill their duties towards their country and that can be done by fulfilling their duties towards their school and parents. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated children on the occasion and expressed that it’s the duty of the students to work for the lives of the poor and the destitute and that will be the real freedom. The function came to an end with National Anthem.

Teej Mela At Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ldh.

The entire School reverberated with ‘Teej Celebrations’ at Teej Mela in Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Raod, Ldh. Sh. Rajesh Rudhra, Chairman-Cum-Director of Chain of Green Land Schools, Ms. Usha Rudhra General Secretary, Mr. Shabad Rudhra President, Ms. Vijayata Rudhra Director of Green Land Convent School, Dugri, were the eminent persons present on the day. The whole campus was giving a festive look. Rich Punjabi Culture with Charkha and hand fans was giving a complete presentation of Punjabi atmosphere.
The cultural programme began with exuberance Senior girls performed ‘Maar Udari’, I to III girls tapped their feet on ‘Damru Baje’ and the ‘Tiny Mutiyars’ of NSY-KG mesmerized everyone with their foot tapping dance ‘Chittiyan Kalayian’. Then there was a Rajasthani group song depicting the folk lore of Rajasthan.
Tableaux depicting different cultures also attracted everyone’s attention. Shakti House displayed ‘Virasate Punjab’ showcasing Punjabi Culture. Jagriti House showed ‘Haryali Teej’ of Hrayana. Jyoti House entertained everyone with a ‘Puppet Show’ in ‘Rajasthani Culture’. Kirti House very beautifully showcased the ‘Enchanting Beauty of Kashmir’. Pre-Primary wing beautifully decorated their tableaux ‘Haveli’. The last one was a tableaux of I-III std. students displaying ‘Traditional Games of Punjab’.
To add viberancy to the ‘Teej Mela’ a ‘Fete’ was also organized in the school. There were many games like ring game, dart game, lucky draw, shooting game, Hit the Tumblers game and many more. The participation of the students in games was astonishingly big. Side by side the eatable stalls were also organised like Chaat Papdi, Gol Gappe, Ice-Cream, Bhel Puri, Chhole Kulche, Cotton Candy and so on. It was really an unforgettable day for everyone. Sh. Rajesh Rudhra expressed joy at the efforts of the students and exhorted them to bring more enthusiasm in celebrating their such festivals. He also explained beautifully the meaning and importance of Teej. He further opined that such festivals are a must to motivate the students to preserve their rich culture, traditions and customs.
Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the students on the success of the event and praised the zeal of everyone in making it so.

English Declamation Contest at Green Land Convent School

To enhance the speaking skills of the students an English Declamation Contest was organized at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. Various themes like: Save Blue Planet, Raksha Bandhan, Monsoon were picked by the students of IV-V std. to express there views. This contest provided a nice platform for the students to opine themselves. The winners are as follows:-

Inter-state Karate Competition

Inter-state Karate Competition was organized at Miller Ganj, Shiv Temple in which many players from different school participated. The students from Green Land Convent School, Sec. 32 participated whole-heartedly. It is a matter of great pride that the participants of Green Land won over all 1st Prize and brought laurels to the school. The Chief Guest of the occasion was D.S.P. Sh. Vikramjeet Singh. He honoured the students of Green Land Convent School and awarded them Trophies. The students of the school won 13 Gold, 5 Silver and 7 Bronze medals. Congratulations to all the winners!

MATHEMATICS, SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY QUIZ AT GREEN LAND CONVENT SCHOOL

A MATHEMATICS, SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY IN HOUSE QUIZ COMPETITION WAS ORGANISED IN OUR SCHOOL PREMISES WITH A PURPOSE TO CHISEL AND IMPROVE THE PUBLIC SPEAKING SKILLS OF THE STUDENTS. THE QUIZ WAS DIVIDED IN THREE CATEGORIES I.E. PRIMARY (I-V), MIDDLE (VI-VIII) & SENIOR SECONDARY (IX-XII). THERE WERE EIGHT ROUNDS IN ALL. AMONG THEM THE IMPORTANT ONES WERE RAPID FIRE ROUND, AUDIO VISUAL ROUND & AUDIENCE ROUND. IT WAS INTERESTING TO WATCH THE PRIMARY STUDENTS ANSWERING IN A VERY PROMPT MANNER. IT WAS A NICE PLATFORM FOR STUDENTS TO EXPRESS THEMSELVES IN AN INNOVATIVE WAY. ALL THE STUDENTS LEFT NO STONE UNTURNED TO STRESS UPON THE POINT THEY CONSIDERED CORRECT. THE ENTHUSIASM & CREATIVITY OF THE STUDENTS WAS WORTH WATCHING WHILE ANSWERING THE QUESTIONS. EVERYBODY HAD ALL PRAISE FOR THE LITTLE KIDS OF PRIMARY. THE QUIZ ENDED WITH THE REMARKABLE SPEECH BY THE PRINCIPAL MS. VINITA SANAN IN WHICH SHE EXHORTED THE STUDENTS TO BE PROACTIVE.

Black Belt By Green Landers

Belt Test for Grading in Karate was organized on 17th May, 2015 at Punjab Trade Centre. Students from different states participated in this competition.Today the result was declared of the same. All the participants of Green Land Convent school, Sec-32 cleared this test. Two students Gurpreet (VII) & Roshan (VIII) made the school proud by securing Black Belt. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated to Karate Coach Mr. Pankaj Sahni & winners & appreciated their efforts and hard work.

'INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA'

Summer Camp Concludes At Green Land Convent School, Sec-32

With a purpose to do brainstorming of the students, an 8 days Summer Camp was organized at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. There was a plethora of activities like painting, Fabric Painting, Music, Dance, Karate, Taekwondo, Chess, Volleyball, Table Tennis and so on. There was a dress code fixed for every activity. Many students participated and enjoyed the fun of activities. The enthusiasm of the children was at its peak as they were enjoying doing variety of things. The excitement of the students was at its Zenith on the last day as they were happy to see the results of their efforts. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan distributed certificates to all the students. She expressed satisfaction at the success of this Summer Camp and opined that the vigour of the students was worth praising. She further stated that such camps should be organized off and on so as to enhance the confidence level of the students and make them aware of their hidden talent.

‘No Tobacco Day’ At Green Land Convent School, Sec-32

With a view to aware the students of the ill effects of Tobacco ‘No Tobacco Day was observed at Green Land Convent school Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. The students organized an awareness programme to stay away from Tobacco. A slogan writing nad poster making competition was organized to this effect in which students conveyed through their art that Tobacco is a poison for our lives. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan appreciated the efforts of the students in slogans and poster making. In her address she informed the students about the diseases caused by tobacco and motivated the students to oppose the use of Tobacco in any way.

Healthy Food At Green Land Convent School, Sec-32

Green Land Convent School, sec-32, Ldh. celebrated Healthy Food Day to keep junk food at bay. The day was celebrated to aware the students of the benefits of healthy food and negative effects of unhealthy food. Students were given a menu and all the students brought eatables according to that menu. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan expressed satisfaction at the event with the words such competitions should be organized off and on to intimate about students the significance of healthy food to lead a disease free life..

‘World Family Day’ at Green Land Convent School, Sector – 32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana

With a view to aware the students of the importance of living in a joint family, World Family Day was observed at Green Land Convent School, Sector – 32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana. The students of III Std. depicted in a mesmerizing manner the importance of living with their Grand Parents and other members of the family through a presentation. An emotional song ‘Yea Toh Sach Hai Ki Bhagwan Hai’ made everyone sentimental. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan praised the little children and stated that we should know the importance of living in a joint family.

Robotics Workshop Organised At Green Land Convent School, Sec-32

A Robotics Workshop was organized at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 for the students of class III to XI std. It was a technical platform for the students to pave their way smoothly in the field of robotics. A new technology was used to train the students for designing various models. It was worth watching the way students displayed their talent in Robotics. They were hilariously enjoying the technology and there was an atmosphere of vigour and enthusiasm. To make the students aware of the concepts of basic electronics, basic mechanics, robotics and its various applications vibrant demonstrations were given by experts on the practical aspects of science and technology. The students were guided how to design different types of electronic sensors and circuits which can be used in making autonomous robots without using a micro controller. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan was very enthusiastic at the response of the students. She impressed upon the fact that it is an age of science and technology which has completely transformed our ways of life. It grants a knowledge that is activity based with innovative techniques. She, in her lecture motivated the students to frame their own Modals by following guidelines given by the experts.

A Summer Beverages Contest At Green Land Convent School, Sec-32

A Summer Beverages contest was held at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ldh. for the students of I std. The little kids were attired as Amul Milk, Lassi, Glucose, Lemonade, Frooti, Pepsi and Coke. It was really a colourful show which left everyone spell bound. The students dressed as Frooti very beautifully depicted that Frooti which was of Green colour previously now comes in yellow. Every child expressed in a mesmerizing manner his/her love for drink. It was very impressive to see the cute grimaces of little kids who very beautifully brought out the negative aspects of Pepsi, Coke etc. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan impressed upon the significance of taking Lemonade, Frooti, Milk etc. and advised them to follw the proper diet regime to be healthy.

‘Sandwich Making Competition’ at Green Land Convent School, Sector – 32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana

A Sandwich making competition was organized at Green Land Convent School, Sector – 32 for little kids of III Std. Children brought chopped material from their homes. A proper kitchen was set and decorated . The little chefs were wearing aprons and caps. The tiny tots captivated everyone’s attention when they presented beautifully different types of sandwiches like Fruit Sandwich, Cream Sandwich and Salad Sandwich etc. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan , the judge on the occasion distributed certificates to the position holders. In her address she applauded the mouth watering taste of sandwiches.

Green Land Sec-32 Takes another Leap In Class X Result

A proud moment came true at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 when the students of X excelled in their result. It was their hard work that bore fruit. Everyone was in the exalted mood. Out of179 students 44 secured CGPA 10. Chairman – Cum – Director Sh. Rajesh Rudhra Ji congratulated the students with the words that success depends on only one thing that how much labour we are putting forward to succeed.
Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan in a hilarious manner congratulated the students, parents and teachers for their wonderful success. She stated that sky is the limit for toiling students.

Excellent Result of XII At Green Land Convent School, Sec-32

The upswinging mood of everyone was the highlight today as the result of XII was announced by CBSE. It was another step for Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. heading towards excellence. The whole atmosphere was drenched with enthusiasm at the excellent result. Zenith was the limit for toppers when they came to know about their result. In aggregate Tamanna Mehta of Commerce brought laurels to the school emerging as topper by grabbing 94.4. In Medical stream Gaurav Chadha scored an aggregate 92. Director Sh. Rajesh Rudhra and Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the winners for their stupendous victory. Ms. Vinita Sanan opined that untiring efforts never go unrewarded. The horizons of success can be achieved only through toil & hard labour.

‘Fruit Carnival’ at Green Land Convent School, Sector – 32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana

Fruit Carnival was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Green Land Convent School, Sector – 32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana. The day was celebrated for the students of class II. The students were told to bring fruits from their homes. They themselves came in the attires of different fruits and were looking chubby as Mangoes, Apples, Bananas and so on. Their teachers were signifying the importance of eating fruit daily. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan in her address advised everyone to know the importance of fruits.

Martyrdom Day of Guru Arjun Dev Ji At Green Land Convent School, Sec-32

Guru Arjun Dev Ji’s Martyrdom Day was celebrated in the school auditorium today in which the students & staff participated whole heartedly. Heart – felt tribute was paid to this great person. Holy Shabads were recited by the students. Speeches were delivered on the life of Guru Ji. His scarifies were remembered & praised with great faith. Mrs. Vinita Sanan, the Principal of the school delivered emotional and motivational speech stating that he was a person who dedicated his entire life to protect our religion. She further opined that Guru Ji devoted himself to the religion till his last breath. She advised the students to follow the path of the Guru Ji and become an ideal person like him to protect the cultural and morals of our country.

Pool Party – A Merry Making Event At Green Land Convent School, Sec-32

A pool cum Rain Dance Party was organized at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, for the classes P.Nsy to K.G. to invoke the rains. Balloons, buntings and other decorative items were giving a stunning look to the artificial sea beach. Kids danced their hearts to the tunes of Rain dance. Teachers too, danced with the students to give a hilarious look to the event. In her closing speech Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan appreciated the efforts of the teachers for making the students enjoy in such an enthralling manner.

GRADUATION CEREMONY AT GREEN LAND CONVENT SCHOOL, SEC-32, CHD. ROAD, LDH.

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. organized Graduation Ceremony for the tiny tots of Class K.G. Sh. Rajesh Rudhra Chairman-Cum-Director of Chain of Green Land Schools was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The senior K.G. students passed out their Kindergarten and were awarded with degrees by the Director Sh. Rajesh Rudhra. Proud parents of the students came to witness the ceremony when their little darlings wore the graduation gowns and graduation caps and held the scrolls firmly in their hands.
The programme commenced with a prayer as a tribute to Goddess Saraswati. A welcome speech by little kids Vanya and Gursehaj mesmerized everyone followed by a formal welcome speech by Principal of the school, Ms. Vinita Sanan. A group song ‘See the Sunshine’ by little angels enthralled everyone. Group dance ‘Micky Mouse’ and Choreography ‘Badal Pe Paon Hain’ brought in a spontaneous manner the essence of childhood. The tiny tots danced to the tune of ‘Eena-Meena-Deeka’ with a guiding light in hand promising to keep it shining all through.
Celebration of ‘Mother’s day’ with the Graduation Ceremony made the environment emotional and unlimited sentimentality was spread in the ambience. Little kids enacted the role play of orphans and showed the importance of mothers in their lives in an enchanting and mesmerizing manner. Sh. Rajesh Rudhra in his speech opined that kindergarten is the first experience in schooling where the child moves from his mother’s loving lap into the fond arms of a teacher. He stated that kindergarten teacher like a caring potter, shapes and moulds the child with tender loving care, into a confident boy or a girl. He further impressed upon the importance of mother in a child’s life with the words that God can’t be everywhere so he made mother, the incarnation of love and affection.
Principal of the school Ms. Vinita Sanan conveyed her felicitations to children for their innocent and cute gestures and thanked everyone for adding vibrancy to the occasion. She wished that young graduates achieve many more milestones of success in the years to come.

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, ‘Salutes The Incarnation of God’

Mother, the incarnation of love and affection and an epitome of sacrifice was given a warm salute on the eve of Mothers’ Day. Students of various wings presented a cultural fiesta as a tribute to Mother and Motherhood. Students of class VI and XII recited poems on the dance theme. There was an emotional presentation on the theme ‘The Greatness of Mother’. Tiny-tots were encouraged to make cards. The invited parents were spell bound when their tiny tots greeted them with beautiful cards. A short play was dramatized on the stage to show the respect for mothers. On the whole, it was a grand event dedicated to all the grand mothers. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan wholeheartedly congratulated the parents as well as to the students.

Green Land Convent School, Sec.–32, Ldh. Conducts ‘Vedic Declamation Contest’

Green Land Convent School, Sector – 32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana conducted ‘Vedic Declamation Contest’ . The aim to organize this competition was to make the students aware of the moral values in our life. The main topics of this competition were ‘Respect towards Parents and Teachers’, ‘Woman- The Salt of the World’, ‘Knowledge Without Values’, Geeta based on Karma and Advantages of Modern Gadgets. The students expressed their views Vehemently & enthusiastically. Ms. Seema judged the competition in an unabiased manner. Vanshika (VI std.) bagged first position, Aaryan (VII std.) scored second & Ananya (III std.) got third position.
Ms. Vinita Sanan, Principal of the School honoured the students & gave away the prizes. She encouraged and appreciated the talent of the students. She motivated them to participate more and more in such competitions in future also.

Hawan Performed At Green Land Convent School, Sector – 32, Chd. Road, Ldh.

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. commenced its new session with a purifying Ritual – Hawan which is a selfless contribution of human race to the Almighty. The Hawan was performed by Pandit Ajay Vashishit. The Chairman- Cum-Director of the Chain of Green Land Schools, Sh. Rajesh Rudhra, General Secretary Smt. Usha Rudhra , President of the Trust Sh. Shabad Rudhra, Ms. Vijayta Rudhra and Principal of the school Mrs. Vinita Sanan presented their obeisence and offerings maintaining the propriety of conduct. The students of different classes were also present on the occasion. Everybody was actively involved in the ceremony with deep faith and bonding to the God Almighty. It was a day when we celebrated Earth Day too, to lend a helping hand to our environment and to respond to earth’s call for help. The school was filled with ecologically poignant artworks and display done by students of different classes. There was a myriad of activities like Class Presentation for the classes I, II and III on the topics Global Warming, Save Environment and Save Animals and Birds from extinction.
Sh. Rajesh Rudhra spoke about the significance of Hawan’. In his speech he made the students understand our relation with cosmic consciousness. He stated that positive thoughts, words and actions come from Hawan that pave the way for success. He stressed the point that negative energies are dispelled and protective shield is built around the place where the ritual is performed, resulting in peace, prosperity, good health & success. He skillfully pointed out that the process of ‘Blood Shudhi’ or purification of ‘Tatwas’ or elements takes place within the person who performs Hawan that makes controlled and calm attitude. He further highlighted the important role of Guru in the life of students and very beautifully explained the meaning of ‘OM’.
The school staff and the students contributed in ‘Purnahuti’ amongst the chanting of Gayatri Mantras. The Hawan culminated with ‘Aarti’ the offerings to Almighty’.

Fresher’s party at Green Land Convent School, Sector – 32, Ludhiana

With a view to initiate the students in the process of active learning a Fresher’s Party was organized at Green Land Convent School, Sector – 32, Chd. Road, on 24th April, 2015 to mark the beginning of new session for Pre-Nursery and Nursery. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan welcomed the tiny tots onto the campus by cutting a cake. Guys were dressed in fancy T-Shirts and Capri whereas girls were in Gown and Hat. Children rocked the dance floor on thrilling music. Everyone grooved on songs such as ‘Baby Doll Mai Sone Di’, ‘Chittiyan Kallayian Ve’ & Party All Night. Students had a gala time enjoying. At the end kids were awarded for different categories like Best Dancer, Sunniest Smile, Well dressed, Sparkling Eyes and Chubby Cheeks. Party was not merely an enjoyment but was also the way to make a strong bonding between students and teachers.
Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan presented crown to Mr. Fresher and Tiara to Miss Fresher and blessed them for their bright future.

Land Organises Power Point Presentation Competition

A Power Point Presentation Competition was organized at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. on 18th April, 2015. The competition was open for the students of V-VIII. The themes kept for the competition were Our Heritage Builders, Our- Planet, Indian Civil Services and many more. All the students showed their presentation skills to their utmost knowledge. Diya (VII std.) got First Position by preparing an excellent presentation on Heritage. The second position was bagged by Manav (VII std.) and Yuvika (VI std.) & Gorisha (V std.) remained Third. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the winners and appreciated their efforts in using computers excellently.

Baisakhi Celebrations at Green Land

Founder Day of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. and Baisakhi was celebrated with great zeal at Green Land Convent School, Ludhiana. The Staff and Students of the school accorded a warm welcome to the Chief Guest Sh. Rajesh Rudhra, Chairman- cum- Director of Chain of Green Land Schools.
The celebration began with a melodious Shabad by the senior students of the school. The students of junior section also performed on the occasion gracefully. They danced on the tune of ‘Tu Jit Gayi Gidha Haar Gya’. The audience was spell bound to see their performance. The folk dance of Punjab ‘Bhangra’ on Rangla Punjab was presented by Punjabi Gabhrus of Primary Sections. A Fancy dress competition was also held for the students from P.NSY to III. They were dressed as Punjabi Gabhru and Mutiyars. They were looking very charming and vibrant in Punjabi dress-up. The whole function was full of zeal & zest.
Sh. Rajesh Rudhra Ji congratulated the students and staff on Founder’s Day & Baisakhi. He paid his obeisance to Guru Maharaj Sant Kirpal Singh Jee as it is only with his blessings that the Trust Sant Kirpal Vidyak Mission (Regd.) is running the Chain of Green Land Schools. In his address he made the students aware of religious & cultural importance of Baisakhi and opined that such celebrations infuse a spirit of courage and confidence amongst the students.
He also told the students that if we combine five things Guru Ki Kirpa, diligence, honesty, hardwork and blessings of the parents, the success will be natural. He stated that to fulfill his mission, he started with the combination of all these five values.

A Warm Valediction Ceremony At Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ldh.

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, bade farewell to the outgoing students of XII at the School Auditorium. It was an unforgettable event. Class XI hosted the ceremony in a well organized manner. The Valediction Ceremony (Bidai-Samaroh) commenced with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by Hon’ble Director Sir Sh. Rajesh Rudhra Ji.
Students travelled down recollected their memories at Green Land. The outgoing students also pledged to execute their duties with courage, compassion and determination. The ceremony where teachers were bidding farewell to their class was filled with excitement from both learners and teachers with emotions running high. Emotional songs by students mesmerized everyone. An eye catching dance sequence by XI student enthralled everyone.
Addressing the students the Director Sir congratulated the students and motivated them to make bright and rewarding career ahead. The speech was highly emotional and inspiring. He stated in his keynote address that attempting to make one’s dream a reality is far more important than material success. He further remarked that pious and grace of the students in the auditorium makes him believe that a confident generation is going to shape the future of India. He exhorted the students to follow their Parents & Guru as they are the most important equal to God. Children are, secure & living their lives completely only till their parents’ blessings are with them. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan in her emotional address reminded them to think, analyse and make wise choices in life. She advised them to follow their moral compass since success depends not merely on intelligence, talent and skill sets but also on competence and character. The Birth Anniversary of Param Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj was celebrated with religious fervour and wholeheartedly at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. Sh. Rajesh Rudhra Chairman-Cum-Director of Chain of Green Land Schools was also present on the occasion. In order to invoke the blessings of the Guru a Shabad Gayan Competition was organized. An aura of religious atmosphere was created. Sh. Rajesh Rudhra in his speech stressed on following principles of the Guru. It was a moment of rejoicing for Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 when Navjot Kaur of XI bagged First Prize in LSSE Inter School Competition organized at Green Land Sr. Sec. School, Jalandhar Bye Pass. It was a semi classical solo dance. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the winner on her achievement and stated that the rigorous practice is the root of all arts that makes one excel in any field.

Green Land Convent School, Sector – 32 clinched Idea Cup& Cash Prize

It was a jubilant moment for Green Land Convent School, Sector – 32 when the shining stars of the school lifted Idea Cup and 20,000 cash prize in the Idea Junior Champions League (IJCL) organized by Idea Cellular Company held at Guru Nanak Stadium. There were different tournaments of Football, Basket ball, Judo, Hockey etc.
In Hockey in U-14 Category (Boys) the Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 lads outshine their opponents to register victory and win first position. In U-19 Category (Boys) the team secured third position. Green Land Eves became overall champions in Judo. They trounced their opponents in U-17 and U-19 Category. Boys too emerged victorious in U-17 and U-19 categories to be overall champions.
Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan had all praise for the winners. She stated that it was a proud moment for the school. She expressed her gratitude to the Director Sh. Rajesh Rudhra for providing such opportunities to the students for their overall growth.

Green Land Sec-32, Hosts LSSC Slogan Writing Competition

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. hosted Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex Slogan Writing Competition on 31st January, 2015. The Competition was open for all LSSC schools of Ludhiana. The students from different CBSE schools participated in the competition. The competition was divided in two categories. In category A the theme was ‘Swachh Bharat’ for the classes VI-VIII. In category B the theme was ‘Thoughts of Rabinder Nath Tagore’ for classes IX-XII. Eminent panel of adjudicators Ms. Sushwinder & Ms. Reema were invited for judging the competition. The judges were given a floral welcome by the Principal of the school Ms. Vinita Sanan. The competition commenced with Lamp Lighting Ceremony by the Principal & the worthy judges.
‘Deh Shiva Var Mohe’, a Shabad was recited by the students to invoke the blessings of Almighty.
The Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan in her welcome address exhorted the students to participate whole heartedly in the competition and do their best to prove themselves. Then she declared the competition open.
Then the students performed a thematic group dance on ‘Swachh Bharat’. The students participated whole heartedly and brought forth many colourful and creative slogans on the given themes. The aim of the competition was to sensitize and create awareness among students regarding cleanliness and our literary genius Rabinder Nath Tagore. There were many catchy slogans penned down by the pupils.

Green Land Pays Homage to Nation

Green Land Convent school, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. celebrated 66th Republic Day on 26th January, 2015 to commemorate the day, the Indian Republic was formed with great enthusiasm and fervor. Sh. Rajesh Rudhra Chairman – Cum – Director of Chain of Green Land Schools and President of the Trust Sh. Shabad Rudhra graced the occasion to mark the importance of the day. The function began with unfurling the Tri-Colour by Sh. Rajesh Rudhra followed by melodious rendition of National Anthem. The variety of dances like ‘Chakk De India’, ‘Vande Matram’ enthralled everyone. Active participation was seen from the students which gave a glimpse of their patriotic fervor towards the country. The vigour and zeal of everyone was worth praising. A dance sequence ‘Rangla Punjab’ by juniors made everyone dance on the beats of Bhangra. Director Sh. Rajesh Rudhra explained very beautifully the meaning and relevance of Republic Day. He exhorted the students to remember the sacrifices of our unforgettable freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh and many more. He stated that 26th January is a day to celebrate, perhaps it is time to recognize the freedoms Jan 26 stood for. Its time to analyse whether we have redeemed the pledge we undertook many years back. He further added that its time to resolve to take more actions in furtherance of the vision of Jan 26.
The Director Sir concluded the speech with motivating words with hope for good life, good humour. He extended his warm greetings to the whole Green Land fraternity. VIVACITY AND JOY AT GREEN LAND CONVENT SCHOOL, SEC-32, LDH.

Vasant Panchmi a festival marking the start of spring and Holi season was celebrated with great fanfare at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, chd. Road, Ldh. This day dedicated to goddess Saraswati began with group song Saraswati Vandana & ‘Maa Sarswati Shardhe’ a group dance was also performed to pay obedience to the Goddess. This day is celebrated to mark the importance of ‘Rituraj’ Vasant the king of seasons. Different competitions were organized ate school. ‘Maine Kaha Phoolon Se’ a mesmerizing dance sequence enthalled everyone. The students of XII sought blessings from the Goddess of Knowledge. Yellow gaudy costumes and traditional jewellery worn by tiny tots caught the eyes of the beholders. Green Land Convent, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. emerged victorious in Under-19 and Under-14 category in Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex Chess Competition held at Green Land Convent School, Dugri, Phase-II, Ldh. In under-19 category boys grabbed III Position. Girls too chiseled their mental capabilities and succeeded in winning III Position. The shining stars of Green Land in Under-14 category also left no stone unturned to attain III position. Mr. Kalia and Mr. Vikas were the Arbiters who judged the competition in an unbiased manner. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the winners and applauded thin efforts. Major Judo Teams from different schools affiliated to CBSE from all over the city participated in the Championship for the year 2014-15. The grand event was organized for the boys & girls in Under-17 and Under-19 age groups respectively as per the prescribed weight category. Festivity At Green Land

Greenland Convent School, Sec – 32, Chd. Road bubbled with enthusiasm on the occasion of Lohri. The students were attired in colourful dresses. The celebration began with the lighting of ceremonial bonfire. Everyone danced around it on the beats of dhol. The fervor and festivity was worth seeing on the day. Groundnut, Ghachak, Bhuga, Reveris were distributed amongst all. Children and Teachers danced to the beats of Punjabi traditional songs. A kite playing competition was also organized in which the senior students brought colourful kite. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan apprised the students of the importance of Lohri opining that these traditional festivals exhibit the soul of real culture.

Green Land Won Trophy in Kick Boxing Karate Championship

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. participated in Kick Boxing & Karate Championship organized by Kick Boxing & Karate Association at Navanshehar. More than 250 students of 10 States participated in this championship to try their luck. 15 students in all participated from Green Land and all of them proved their mettle by winning Gold, Silver & Bronze.
6 students bagged Gold Medals and won laurels for the school. 7 students brought name & fame to school by winning Silver Medal and 2 students got Bronze Medal. Sakshi Chaudhary a student of class VII bagged a ‘Challenge Cup Trophy’.
The Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan applauded the efforts of the students as well as their Coach Mr. Pankaj. She opined that such competitions enhance the confidence.

Christmas Carols at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32

Christmas Day was celebrated at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 Chd. Road, Ldh. with great enthusiasm. There was festivity in the air. The school was decorated with balloons & buntings. Students dressed as Santa Claus, Angels and Fairies. Everyone was in a hilarious mood. They danced and sang Christmas carols. The tiny tots visited all the classes and distributed sweets. The little wonders danced on the tune of Jingle Bells. The whole atmosphere was filled with zeal and enthusiasm. Our little Santas and Fairies made the day joyous and memorable. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan praised the beautiful Fairies and elegant Santas. She congratulated everyone on the occasion. In her address she gave the message to follow the righteous path of non-violence and serve humanity in the true spirit.

7th Annual Function and Cultural Extravaganza – 2014 at Green Land Convent School, Sector – 32, Ludhiana

The 7th Annual Prize Distribution Function and Cultural Bonanza was celebrated for Juniors on 13th December, 2014. The Chief Guest of the day was S. Keeping in view the significance of hope in one’s life . Ms. Vinita Sanan in a very effective manner formally announced the theme ‘Aashayein’ the ‘Hope of Future’. She stated that hope is a bird that keeps soaring high in vicious circumstances and never accepts failure.
The programme started with ‘Ganesh Vandana’ invoking the blessings of Lord Ganesha. The dance sequence left everyone lost in Bhakti Ras. Welcome Dance , ‘Kilkari’ showcased the tiny tots dancing in enthralling tone. Next to come was ‘Flower and Animal Dance’ with the theme live locally, think globally and love universally. Students exhibited hidden talent and emotions through different dances. The play ‘Mukti Dham’ depicted in an emotional manner the immense love of mother for her children and her sacrifice in a very effective and sentimental way. Bhangra and Giddha were the show stealers. The tiny tots presented colourful spray of their talent by dancing to the Punjabi tunes. Another heart touching item was ‘Kathputli’.It was an emotional depiction of mental trauma of a handicapped child and his parents. The excellent presentation of successful journey of a child was worth watching. The heart touching message went straight to the hearts of the audience.
‘Udaan’ was another mesmerizing star attraction. The talent show cased by the students in the dance sequence presented very beautifully the inner strength of woman and her perseverance in her life. It also show cased the importance of hope in one’s life.
The Chief Guest had all praise for the function and performances of the tiny tots. He opined that he was speechless after seeing these mesmerizing performances. He expressed that ‘Aashayein’ the theme of the function was very impressive as it is the hope only which keeps our mind and soul alive. It is through hope only that we can be victorious in life.
The Director Sh. Rajesh Rudhra praised the talent and efforts of the students. He motivated the students to follow the ideals of their parents to achieve success in life. He further added that our efforts bear fruit only if we have blessings of our parents with us. He praised whole heartedly the dance sequence ‘Swachh Bharat’ a cleanliness drive started by our honourable Prime Minister Sh. Narender Modi. He exhorted the students to get inspired from this motivational item and give our contribution in keeping our country clean and green..
The function culminated with the much awaited prize distribution ceremony where in the worthy Chief Guest gave away the prizes to the meritorious students. The programme was usured in with an invocation to Lord Ganesha which left everyone spell bound. The choreography ‘Udaan’ was inspired by ‘Women Empowerment’ and hope of women to touch heights. It won an unceasing applause from the audience. Next to come was ‘Mukti Dham’ a play, depicting Mother’s love and sacrifice and the repentence of a son, consequently for neglecting his duties. It was the most riveting performance of the whole function. Next in the row was another play ‘Kathputli’ which presented the journey of a handicapped child towards success. The confidence and the supurb performances of both the plays kept the audiences glued to their seats. The message was loud and clear and reached the audience straight.
The theme based dance ‘Aashayein – Ek Koshish’ added new heights to the function. The dance item presented very beautifully the hopes and aspirations of future life. Next to come was ‘Jazba’ a group dance which mesmerized everyone. The star attraction were ‘Sammi and Bhangra. The dancing damsels in Sammi were the show stealers. Bhangra show casing the flavor of Punjab was a thrilling visual treat.
The chief guest was impressed with the performances and opined that every performance was meticulously performed. He said that he was surprised and speechless to see the vibrant programme. He emphasized the need of value based education.
The Director Sh. Rajesh Rudhra had all applause for the zeal and efforts of the students. He repeated like all his lectures that mother is the apostle of God and we should respect her. He also said that a girl child should be given due status and proper upbringing to compete with boys.
The function culminated with the much awaited prize distribution ceremony where in the worthy Chief Guest gave away the prizes to the most deserving students. The Chief Guest was accompanied by Director Sh. Rajesh Rudhra Ji, the President Mr. Shabad Rudhra and Principal of the School Ms. Vinita Sanan & the Principals of various branches of Green Land Schools.
On the whole the show was the fruit of many hours of tireless work on the part of the whole team of Green Land and was acknowledged by Ms. Vinita Sanan, the Prinipal of the school, in her Vote of Thanks. The programme rose to the final with the singing of ‘National Anthem’.

Green Land Excels in Cricket Tournament

Green Land Convent School added another feather in the cap when in under 14 category Suneerpal Singh secured III position in State Level Cricket Tournament organized by PSEB from 3rd December, 2014 to 7th December, 2014 at Mansa Stadium in Mansa.
He played 4 matches in all. In the first match he scored 43 runs in 23 balls. In second he scored 35 runs. In bowling also he excelled by taking 5 wickets in 4 matches.
Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan applauded the efforts of the student and opined that efforts bear fruit only when accompanied by hard work.

Green Land Celebrates Gurupurab With Enthusiasm And Fervor

The Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev was celebrated on the campus of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. The school was decked up to mark the celebrations. Students sang hymns and stressed on the importance of unflinching faith in the Guru’s teachings. An Inter House Shabad Gayan Competition was also organized. The religious fervor was worth watching in the school premises.
To spread the divine ambience students of primary, middle and senior sections recited hymns and delivered speeches. The Chairman – Cum – Director of Green Land Chain of Schools Sh. Rajesh Rudhra came to pay obeisance to the Guru. He exhorted the students to earn by true means. He told that only Guru can change their fate and Guru should be followed to get everything in life. He encouraged the students with his wise words to follow the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. In his `address he stressed the importance of celebrating such occasions opining that these celebrations are necessary for making our children religious minded and a good human being.
He opined that education is incomplete without knowledge, sanskar, religion and faith. He told the students to follow the teachings of Gurbani. He further added that if we want to transform our society the mind set of our children must be changed and that can be done only by following the ideals of Guru Nanak Dev Ji .
Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan also expressed her views on the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. She exhorted the students to follow the ideals of the first guru with sanctity and whole heartedness. The celebrations came to an end with the distribution of `Karah Prashad’ to everyone present there.

Sparkling Diwali At Green Land

India being a land of varied cultures and festivals holds a very special place for Diwali ‘The Festival of Lights’. This year diwali was celebrated with a big boom and bang at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. Students decorated their classes with Balloons, Buntings, Sparklers, Earthen Lamps and candles in the Class Decoration Competition. Another competition was Candle and Diya Decoration which was held for classes I-III. Then there was an eye catching Inter House Thali Decoration Competition. Festivity was at its peak in the school premises.
The Inter House Wall Hanging making of class II students captivated everyone. The star attraction was the Inter House Rangoli making Competition. The beautiful patterns of Rangoli made by girls mesmerized everyone. The best Rangoli was adjudged by a group of teachers. Jyoti House secured First Position & remained winner. The efforts of the students were appreciated by one and all. The Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan expressed her joy at these gala activities and advised the students to understand the real meaning of this festival and follow the ideals of Lord Rama in their lives too.

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 Organises Inter School Colouring Contest

With a view to aware the tiny tots of the magic of colours an Inter School Colouring Contest was organized by Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. In order to showcase the talents of their kids, students from different play ways of the city participated in the contest. The contest started with a mesmerizing Shabad by the students of the school. Principal of the school Ms. Vinita Sanan welcomed the parents formally by a speech in which she made the parents aware of the importance of different spheres of education for the child’s development. In her address Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan opined that little kids are ideally nourished and bestowed with support and better teaching by their teachers. She further added that co-ordination between parents is must. The principals & teachers of various play way schools Ms. Shelly (Kidzee), Ms. Sachi Sehajpal (Step-by-Step), Ms. Kanchan Sharma (Kids Castle), Ms. Sanyogita (Bon Voyage), Ms. Sarita Bhardwaj (Sea Land School), Ms. Priya (Tiny-Tots), Ms. Poonam (Little Angle), Ms. Kamlesh (Sahara Play Way) were present for the occasion. Various dances like Lolly Pop, Welcome dance, Bhangra and Lavni were performed by the students of Pre-primary & primary wing. Sh. Rajesh Rudhra, the Chairman – Cum – Director of Green Land Chain of Schools conveyed the message to stress upon the need of activity based education so that the children learn while playing. He opined that some consider parents to be the child’s first teacher while the teachers are their second parents. The Birth Anniversary of Sardar Valabh Bhai Patel the ‘Iron Man of India’ was celebrated at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. with full vigour and enthusiasm. Poster Making and Collage Making competitions were held on the occasion. One Role Play depicting the life history of Sardar Patel was also enacted.
The students took pledge to preserve the unity, integrity and secutiry of the nation in the spirit of unification made possible by the vision of Late Sardar Patel.

THE FERVOUR OF GANDHI JAYANTI AT GREENLAND, SEC-32

The enthusiasm and fervour of Gandhi Jayanti was worth seeing at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. On the occasion of birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, students sang song ‘Raghu Pati Raghav Raja Ram’. The students of VI to XII were imparted knowledge about Gandhi Ji. An essay writing competition was also organsied on the topics related to Mahatma. Then there was a slogan writing competition. After that a cleanliness drive was started which culminated in to cleaning of all the class rooms. The Director of the school Mr. Rajesh Rudhra highlighted the Principles and Teachings of Gandhi Ji. He emphasized on ‘Truth and Non-Violence’ . He guided the students to adopt ‘Simple living & High thinking’ as their way of living. Green Land Sec-32, Hogs Limelight In Chess Tournament

It was an enthusiastic moment for Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ldh. when in the brain game chess the students proved their mettle in Punjab Schools Chess Tournament, organized by B.C.M. Sr. Sec. School, Shastri Nagar, Ludhiana on 29th & 30th September, 2014. In under-14 boys category Green Landers grabbed First Position. In under-14 girls category & in under-19 boys category they got Third Position. Overall the students won three trophies, 5 Gold & 10 Bronze Medals.
The Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan praised their success. She opined that such brain waves are a must to enhance the thinking skills of the students.

Green Land Sec-32, Shines In Sky Martial Art Tournament

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. participated in Punjab Schools Sky Martial Art Tournament, organized by Guru nanak Public School, Model Town, Ludhiana. More than 15 schools of Ludhiana participated in this tournament to try their luck. 8 students in all participated from Green Land and all of them proved their mettle by winning Gold, Silver & Bronze. Under-14 Boys grabbed Second Position and Under-17 Boys Third position resulting in wining overall trophy.
2 students bagged Gold Medals and won laurels for the school. 5 students brought name & fame to school by winning Silver Medal and 1 student got Bronze Medal.

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Celebrates India’s Greatest Leap on Mars

The First Ever Mars Mission of India by ISRO became successful when the insertion of India’s space craft PSLV-C25 (Mangalyaan) into Mars orbit was done. This successful execution has made India the only Asian Country with a successful Mars Mission. This accomplishment was celebrated with fireworks and Dhol at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh.
The students expressed their joy by dancing on the beats of Dhol. Sh. Rajesh Rudhra Chairman – Cum- Director of the Chain of Green Land Schools opined that this is the most significant and historic mission for India which has proved to be a turning point and morale booster for scientists and the citizens of India. He further stated that the grace of the occasion is heightened all the more as it is the first ever successful attempt by India. He had all praise for the team of Indian scientists led by the Chiarman Mr. K. Radha Krishan and Director Mr. A.S. Kiran Kumar. He also applauded the versatile personality of our worthy Prime Minister Mr. Narender Modi who exhorted the people to celebrate this achievement as a festival.

Green Land Paddlers Hog Limelight

Paddlers from Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. proved their mettle by winning Second Position in Under 17 girls category and First Position in Under 14 girls category in Punjab Schools Zonal, Table Tennis Tournament 2014 held at K.V. M Sr. Sec. School from 6th August to 7th August, 2014. In Under-17 category Apeksha, Sarabjeet Kaur and in Under-14 category Tamanna, Mehak got Gold Medals in District Level & they were selected for State Level. In Under-17 boys grabbed Third Position among them a shining star Pranav qualifies for District. The students under 14 & 17 category quelled a stiff resistance before going out victories. The students made the teachers & parents feel proud with their glorious and outstanding performance. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the winners and applauded their relentless efforts.

SHOWCASE OF EXPOSITION AT GREEN LAND

With a view to encourage the aesthetic and scientific skills of the students an exhibition named ‘Exposition’ was organized at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. All the departments exhibited the talent of their students. Sh. Rajesh Rudhra Director Greenland, chain of Green Land Schools was the chief guest, Shri Shabad Rudhra accompanied him as the guest of honour. Director Sir praised the efforts of the students and he asked many questions to the students pertaining to their models. The students answered enthusiastically. Later on the exhibition was open for parents also. Everyone had all praise for the models. Some models left everyone spell bound. Janamashtmi – The Incarnation of Lord Krishna

With a purpose to commemorate Lord Krishan’s Incarnation on this earth, Janamashtmi was celebrated with enthusiasm and excitement at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. All the children were filled with vigour and zeal. Everyone was in the festive spirit. Tableaux depicting various life spans of Lord Krishna were displayed. Many children were attired as little Krishans and and his companion gopies. Students chanted shalokas on the occasion. There were captivating dances on ‘Wo Kishna Hai’, ‘Gobind Bolo Hari Gopal Bolo’, ‘Bhakat Ke Vash Mein Hai Bhagwan’, ‘Mero Man Ho Gyo Lata Pata’ etc. The performance of tiny tots on the ht θ hbysong ‘Krishna Makhan Chor’ was mesmerizing. The Chairman-Cum-Director Sh. Rajesh Rudhra, Smt. Usha Rudhra, Sh. Shabad Rudhra & Smt. Vijayata Rudhra were the chief guests of the function. ‘Dahi Handi’ a tradition which represents Lord Krishna’s playful and mischievous side was also followed by Sh. Rajesh Rudhra by breaking the ‘Pot of Butter’. In his speech Sh. Rajesh Rudhra motivated the students to follow the ideals and teachings of Lord Krishna. Green Land Celebrates Independence Day

68th Independence Day was truly a mesmerizing gala event at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. On this occasion the school was decorated with tricoloured balloons and flowers. The glory and ambience was worth watching. The students were attired as freedom fighters.
The celebration started with the Flag Hoisiting Ceremony by the Chairman-Cum-Director of the School Sh. Rajesh Rudhra. President of the Trust Mr. Shabad Rudhra, Director of Green Land Dugri Ms. Vijayata Rudhra & General Secretary Ms. Usha Rudhra were the guests of honour. The cultural programme presented by the shining stars of Green Land was captivating. They tapped their feet on the beat of Bhangra and patriotic songs like ‘School Tumko Pukare’. A ‘Mime’ named Pukar was presented by the junior students showing Social evils prevalent in our society & the ways to eradicate them. The audience were overwhelmed with the feelings of patriotism and raised their voice with ‘Jai Hind’ & ‘Vande Matram’.
An exhibition was also organized to enhance the fervour and enthusiasm of the day. All the departments showcased the talent of their students in the form of working & non-working models. Everyone had all applaud for the same. Chairman of the school Sh. Rajesh Rudhra Ji emphasized that ‘Hard Work’ is the best way to achieve our goal. He exhorted the students to come forward for the betterment of our country. He also added that today we all should redirect ourselves to the progress and prosperity of our Nation, to the welfare of our people and to the unity and integrity of our country. In his speech he inspired everyone to respect the sacrifices of our freedom fighters because of whose efforts we secured our Independence.

Different types of Clay Models were at display. Students put lives into the lifeless things. Everybody appreciated the Models. Cake Day Celebrations

Tiny Tots of Greenland Convent School, Sector-32, Chd. Road, Ldh.., celebrated ‘Cake Day’ on cake denotes celebration and it’s the best way to relieve oneself of the worries and anxieties of this fast paced life. With a purpose to convey this message to one and all, this day was greatly welcomed by everybody. It was hosted by students and conducted by Maths Department. The tiny – tots of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. celebrated Healthy Tiffin Contest to keep the students away from unhealthy Food. Menu was given and the students were asked to bring food according to that. The aim was to make the students aware of the benefits of healthy and harmful effects of unhealthy food. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan stressed on the need to lead a disease free life by opting for healthy food.

Poetry Recitation at Green Land Convent

In order to bring out the hidden talent of tiny-tots, a Poetry Recitation Competition was organized by Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. The themes were Rainy Season, Country, Save Earth, Save Tree etc. The little poets displayed marvelous talent. Overall it was a captivating performance.

Splash Pool Party

Kindergarten students of Green Land Convent School enjoyed the splash pool party on the beat of monsoon songs to beat the heat. They looked very colourful, charming and attractive in swimming costumes. They brought refreshing drinks and umbrellas which they used while waiting for their turn. The whole atmosphere of the splash pool was cool. Students enjoyed a lot of water games, watch slides and had a lot of fun.

Green Land Won Trophy in Ashihara Karate Championship

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. participated in Ashihara Karate Cup Championship organized by Active Anti Corruption Group ay Mini Rose Garden in Ludhiana. More than 250 students of 10 States participated in this championship to try their luck. 22 students in all participated from Green Land and all of them proved their mettle by winning Gold, Silver & Bronze.

Fruit Day – A Gala Day

To keep unhealthy junk food at bay, Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. celebrated ‘Fruit Party’. Students came to school costumed as different fruits. The tiny tots were looking captivating in their fruit attires. It was celebrated with a purpose to make the children aware of the benefits of fruits. PLANTATION DRIVE BEGINS AT GREEN LAND

Van Mahotsava week commenced at Green Land Convent School, Chd. Road, Ludhiana, here today with plantation drive by the students from VI-XII. The Students from NSY-II enthusiastically planted saplings of Ashoka tree & Palm tree to spread awareness about the need and importance of protecting the environment which has become a victim of deforestation and global warming. More than 500 saplings have been planted. The Principal Mrs. Vinita Sanan applauded the efforts of the students.

RADIO JOCKEY SHOW AT GREEN LAND CONVENT SCHOOL, SEC-32

With a view to enhance the speaking skills of the students a Radio Jockey Show was organized at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. By X std. students. Its main issues were corruption, illiteracy and unemployment. Everybody witnessed the hilarious comedy circus the Kapil of comedy nights. There were 8 team in the show. To increase the interest of the audience, a Role Play activity was also enacted from the play ‘Dear Departed’. The actors very beautifully delivered the message of respecting ones grand parents instead of considering them a burden. The principal had all praise for the talented students.

GREEN LAND TAKES ANOTHER LEAP IN CLASS XII RESULT

An overflow of enthusiasm drenched the environment of the school today when result of XII was announced by CBSE. This result was another feather in the cap of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. The enthusiasm of the toppers was at zenith when they came to know about their marks. In Commerce Mitesh Garg came out to be the topper of the school by scoring 94.2% Aggregate. In Science Stream Guneet Singh topped the school with 93.2% Aggregate in Non.-Medical & Jaspreet Singh scored 92.2% Aggregate in Medical whereas in Humanities Isha Dhiman shone as brightest star by attaining 90.8% Aggregate. The Chairman-Cum Director of the school Mr. Rajesh Rudhra & Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the meritorious students on their precious victory. They applauded their efforts by saying that they have shown the best of their capabilities.

With a view to bring out the talent of the students, a ‘Solo Singing Contest’ was organized by Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. Rhythem was spread everywhere. The competition was divided in three categories I to V and VI-VIII & IX-XII. Students enthralled the audience with classical, sufi, western and old songs. It was worth listening to the tunes of the students. Everybody was spell bound at their talent. In junior section I Prize was awarded to Suhani Dhiman second to Ayushman Jha and the third was grabbed by Anshpreet & Vanshika. In Middle section I Prize was awarded to Mehak, Gurpreet Kaur second to Shreya and the third was grabbed by Hamish. In senior section Ridham & Taranjit Kaur got I, Prachita & Mohit second and Anmol & Muskaan had to satisfy with III. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan had all applaud for them. In her address she expressed her joy at the melodious voices of the students. All in all it was a memorable event.

GREEN LAND TAKES ANOTHER LEAP IN CLASS X RESULT

Hardwork resulted in excellence, at Green Land when Class X students of Green Land Convent School produced wonderful result. It was a moment of Pride not only for students but for teachers, parents, management and Principal as well. Out of 134 students, 46 students secured CGPA 10. Chairman-Cum-Director Sh. Rajesh Rudhra congratulated the students with the words that it is only through hard work that we can attain heights of success.
An excited and hilarious Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the students, teachers & Parents for this wonderful success. She also opined that hard work takes a person to horizons of success and glory.

Green Land Sec-32, Shines In Karate

In a nail biting finish on May, 2014 the students of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ldh. won laurels for the school by wining 6 Gold, 9 Silver and 6 Bronze Medals in the II Inter State Karate Championship held at Moti Ram Public School, Sec-7, Panchkula, Haryana. Green Land lads hogged limelight in Under 14 category by grapping over all trophy with 21 students out of 750 in all. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated and applauded the efforts of the winners by stating that such events enhance the confidence of the students.

Green Land Salutes Mothers

Mother, the incarnation of love and affection and an epitome of sacrifice was given a warm salute on the eve of Mothers’ Day. Students of various wings presented a cultural fiesta as a tribute to Mother and Motherhood. Students of class NSY to V enacted the roles of Great Mothers of India like: Jija Bai, Mother Teresa etc and mesmerised the audience whereas class III to V recited poems on the dance theme. A group dance was also presented by the students. Students were encouraged to make cards for their mothers through a card making activity which was conducted in the classes. On the whole, it was a grand event dedicated to all the great mothers.

A Helping Hand To Our Ailing Planet

In order to lend a helping hand to our Ailing planet ‘Earth Day’ was celebrated by the students of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. in response to earth’s call for help. The student of P.NSY to III std. displayed presentations on Stop Pollution, dances and choreography to depict the ailment that is spoiling our environment. A declamation was organized for the student of IV and V. for the purpose of creating awareness among the masses. An Interhouse Poster Making Competition for classes Vi to XII was also organized in the school premises. In this way it was a complete awareness show. Ms. Vinita Sanan, the Principal of the school applauded the efforts of the students and motivated them to keep our Mother Earth clean and green, through her speech.

Green Land Performs Hawan – A Purifying Ritual

A purifying ritual rather an act of selfless contribution to the universe was performed by Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. on 7th May, 2014 to mark the beginning of the New Session. The Hawan was performed to purify the environment and for the benefit of one and all. Sh. Rajesh Rudhra Chairman –Cum-Director of Chain of Green Land Schools, General Secretary Ms. Usha Rudhra, President of the Trust Mr. Shabad Rudhra, Ms. Vijayata Rudhra, Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan, staff & the students of XI-XII were also present on the occasion. Blessings of the Almighty were sought through recitation of Mantras and hymns (Shlokas) by Pandit Sh. Ajay Vashisht. Everybody was actively involved in this ceremony with deep faith and bonding to the God Almighty. Everybody contributed in ‘Purnahuti’. Chairman Sh. Rajesh Rudhra mesmerized everyone with a melodious ‘'Bhajan'’. Addressing on the occasion he spoke about the significance of Hawan and its real meaning. He congratulated the students on the birth Anniversary of Sh. Rabindranath Tagore, ‘The Incarnation of Guru’ and invited them to take pledge to respect their teachers, their ‘Gurus’. The students were spell bound on listening to his enlightening views. He also stated the importance of ‘OM’ and opined that Hawan is an effort to create link with cosmic consciousness. The Hawan culminated with ‘Aarti’ ‘The offerings to Almighty’.

Green Land Bids Adieu To XII

A farewell party was organized at Green Land Convent School, sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. to bid adieu to XI students. Sh. Rajesh Rudhra Chairman – Cum – Director of Chain of Green Land Schools was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Ms. Usha Rudhra, Mr. Shabad Rudhra, Ms. Vijayata Rudhra were the other eminent guests.
It was a wonderful day when XI students mermerized the audience with their Bhangra. Ganesh Vandana by the juniors left everyone spell bound. The sentimental speeches by XII students created an aura of emotions. The atmosphere was made light by scientillating dance performances by students. The Chief Guest gave blessing to the students and advised them that by burning midnight oil that they can achieve great height in life. He expressed that students should leave no stone unturned in working hard if they want to come out with flying colours.
The curtain of the function was let down by dance and music. On the note of music, students danced in a hilarious mood and rocked the stage. Everyone was witnessed having fun. The students gave token of love to Green Land family. Ms. Vinita Sanan, who is always deeply involved in all the educational activities of the school, also blessed the students with the mementoes. She opined that the students should aim high after leaving our Institute. It was indeed a memorable event for the outgoing students of Green Land Convent School.

Festivity At Green Land

Greenland Convent School, Sec – 32, Chd. Road bubbled with enthusiasm on the occasion of Lohri. The students were attired in colourful dresses. The celebration began with the lighting of ceremonial bonfire. Everyone danced around it on the beats of dhol. The fervor and festivity was worth seeing on the day. Groundnut, Ghachak, Bhuga, Reveris were distributed amongst all. Children and Teachers danced to the beats of Punjabi traditional songs. A kite playing competition was also organized in which the senior students brought colourful kite. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan apprised the students of the importance of Lohri opining that these traditional festivals exhibit the soul of real culture.

Religious Ambience of Gurpurab at Greenland

The birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh was celebrated with religious fervor at the school was decked up to mark the celebrations. To spread the divine ambience, students of the primary, middle and senior sections stressed on the importance of unflinching faith in the Guru through poems and speeches. The students excelled a the Shabad Gayan competition which was followed by prashad.
Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan appreciated the students for their dedicated efforts and opined that such celebrations are must for making the students religious minded and thus bringing out a transformation in society.

Christmas Celebrated With Fervour

Christmas Day was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 Chd. Road, Ldh. There was festivity in the air. Students dressed as Santa Claus, Angels and Fairies looked gay and happy. They danced and sang Christmas carols. The tiny tots visited all the classes and distributed sweets. The whole atmosphere was filled with zeal and enthusiasm. Our little Santa’s and Fairies made the day joyous and memorable. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan applauded the efforts of the tiny tots and congratulated them. She advised them to follow the righteous path of non-violence and serve humanity in the true spirit.

Green Land Excels in Punjabi Declamation

Parneet Kaur of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. grabbed Second Position in Punjabi Declamation Contest organized at Guru Nanak International Sr. Sec. School on 30th November, 2013. There were 66 participants in all from 33 schools. Her topic was ‘Dhiyan’ (Daughters). The vibrations in her voice made every one cry. Her topic left everyone spell bound. She was awarded a trophy and 500 cash. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the students and expressed that such competitions are a necessity to enhance the confidence of the students.

Green Land Student Takes Leap in Nationals

Green Land Students hoisted their flag of victory in third National Championship in Mumbai on 27th November, 2013. It was organized by Chitah Jeet Kuwando Global Sports Federation at Andheri Sports Complex, Mumbai. In 26 to 28 kg category Janvi Sharma and Gurpreet Singh, 40 to 42 kg category Mehak Nagpal & 34 to 36 kg category Sakshi Chaudhary brought laurels by winning I position. In 38 to 40 kg category Rajesh Singh stood II & 22 to 24 category Snehdeep got II Position. Sahil Khan, Claudia Shiher a famous personality and Drishti Dhami etc. were present there as guests of honour. The meritorious students were given prizes and trophies. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan expressed her joy at their victory with the words that there competitions are must to bring the students at a higher level so that they can maintain their position the cut throat competition.

Green Land Organized Talent Hunt Show

Talent Hunt Programme was organized in Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ldh. on 3rd December, 2013. The aim of the programme was to bring out the hidden talents and potentials of the tiny-tots. The Principals, Parents and their students from different Play Way schools also participated in the function. The little artist showed their talents in ‘Colouring Competition’, ‘Poetry Recitation’, ‘Solo Dance’, ‘Solo Song’ & ‘Fancy Dress’ competitions. The audience was spell-bound to see the excellent performance of the children. They looked very beautiful in their clourful attires. The Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan honoured the winners and gave away prizes to boost their spirit and talent. He put stress that to develop the all round personality of a child, such programmes should be organized in the school.

Enthusiasm of Sports Meet At Green Land

An overflow of enthusiasm drenched the environment on the grounds of Green Land Convent School, where annual athletic meet was organized on 11th and 12th November around 300 students congregated for the same. The students from classes I to V found platform to show case their sports talents in a string of events like Cycling, Flowers Race, Animal Race, Tug of War, Slow Cycling, Flat Race, Frog Race, Three Leg Race and Banana Race. The students exhibited exemplary co-ordination and discipline during March Past and PT exercises. It was a feast for the eyes to see the little ones dressed as rabbits and Kangaroos Jostling with each other to grab the first position. The Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan gave away the trophies and certificates to the winners. She emphasised the need of physical exercise for students who are becoming computer worms these days.

Gurpurab Celebrated With Fervour At Green land

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. celebrated the Parkash Utsav of Guru Nanak Dev with religious fervour and sanctity. The school was decked up to mark the celebrations. An Inter House Shabad Gayan Competition was organized which was followed by community meal (Langar) and Prashad. To spread the divine ambience, students sang hymns, recited poems and delivered speeches. Jagriti House was the winner in this competition. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan in her address marked the importance of such occasions opining that these occasions are a necessity for making our children religious minded and thus bringing out a transformation in society.

Children’s Day Celebrated With A Bang At Green Land

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. celebrated Children’s Day with great fervour and enthusiasm to commemorate the birth anniversary of our First Prime Minister Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru. Sh. Rajesh Rudhra the Chairman – Cum – Director of Chain of Green Land Schools was the Chief Guest. The school premises was decorated with colourful balloons and buntings. It was teacher’s duty now to entertain students. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan recited a beautiful poem that explained the students meaning of life and nature. The play presented by teachers mesmerized everyone as they taught life skills through play. Then there was dance item by teachers which forced everyone to dance to their tunes. Students also presented a Kawali which was very entertaining. Punjabi Folk Dance ‘Summy’ by tiny-tots enthralled everyone. Sh. Rajesh Rudhra praised the function and opined that Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru was reciprocrated as ‘Chacha’ Nehru by children for his immense love towards children. He further added that we all should be brave, hardworking and patriotic as he was.
Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan in her speech emphasized and guided the students to follow the ideals of ‘Chacha Nehru’ and imbibe the values of discipline, ambition and sense of order in themselves.

Sparkling Diwali At Green Land

India being a land of varied cultures and festivals holds a very special place for Diwali ‘The Festival of Lights’. This year diwali was celebrated with a big boom and bang at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. Students decorated their classes with Balloons, Buntings, Sparklers, Earthen Lamps and candles in the Class Decoration Competition. Another competition was Candle and Diya Decoration which was held for classes I-III. Then there was an eye catching Inter House Thali Decoration Competition. Festivity was at its peak in the school premises.
The Inter House Wall Hanging making of class II students captivated everyone. The star attraction was the Inter House Rangoli making Competition. The beautiful patterns of Rangoli made by girls mesmerized everyone. The best Rangoli was adjudged by a group of teachers. Jyoti House secured First Position & remained winner. The efforts of the students were appreciated by one and all. The Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan expressed her joy at these gala activities and advised the students to understand the real meaning of this festival and follow the ideals of Lord Rama in their lives too.

Declamation Contest Concludes at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32

With a view to enhance the speaking skills of the students and to aware them about the importance of elections in our country, a Declamation Contest was organized at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh supported by 60 Ludhiana East. The thought provoking topic was ‘The Role of Elections in India. S. Amarjit Singh Sekhon, Joint Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana was the Chief Guest who was warmly welcomed by the Chairman of Chain of Green Land Schools Sh. Rajesh Rudhra. The Guest of honour was Dr. Charanjit Uppal, Health Officer Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana. Mr. O.P Kapoor Supdt. Election And Counselor S. Paul Singh Grewal also graced the occasion. The students expressed themselves in a very effective way. This declamation provided the students ample opportunity to excel over one another. In English Girish Mehta of Green Land, Dugri excelled by grabbing First, Pavneet Kaur of Green Land, Sec-32 got second position and Niyamat Malhotra of Green Land School, Jalandhar Bye Pass got Third position and Mehak Kukreja of Green Land, Civil City had to satisfy with consolation prize.
In Hindi Parneet Kaur of Green Land, Sec-32 brought laurels by getting I position, Karan Kapoor of Green Land, Civil City got Second position, Priya of Green Land, Jalandhar Bye Pass stood Third and Tanya Verma of Green Land, Dugri got consolation Prize.
In Punjabi Simarpreet Kaur of Green Land, Jalandhar Bye Pass grabbed I Position, Sakshi of Green Land, Sec-32 stood Second, Manmeet Kaur of Green Land, Civil City remained Third and Namrata of Green Land, Dugri bagged consolation prize.
Sh. Rajesh Rudhra in his address opined that a new electoral class, comprising young, educated Indians is coming up. That class according to him, is going to help Indian democracy to deepen its roots further in the days to come. He further added that the ‘Carvan’ of Indian Democracy is moving slowly yet surely and steadily.
The Chief Guest expressed himself in a very effective way by saying that Indian Democracy is a miracle. It is a dream that came out of people like Mahatma Gandhi. He stated that Gone are the days when public was condemned with such words as ‘mob’ or ‘crowd’. But now the scenario has completely changed. All the powers are vested with people.
Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan stated that the system of Election is a reflection on the value of Public opinion which can turn a hero to a zero and zero to a hero.

Green Land Pays Tribute To Nation Builders

In a ‘Prayas’ to commemorate the birthday of Saravepalli Dr. Radha Krishnan, Green Land Convent School School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. celebrated Teachers’ Day on September 5, 2013. Chairman – Cum- Director of Chain of Green Land Schools was the Chief Guest. Among the other eminent guests were the President of the Trust Mr. Shabad Rudhra, Ms. Vijayata Rudhra, General Secretary Ms. Udha Rudhra. The Principals of all the branches of Green Land school Ms. Baldeep Pandher, Ms. Gupta, Ms. Jyoti Pujara & Ms. Bansal also marked their presence. Students of classes XI and XII were entrusted upon the responsibility of teaching rest of the students and they proved upto the expectations of their teachers. A cultural programme was also presented by the teachers for each other. They all had a gala time. Many items like songs, dances, choreography, speeches, ghazals etc. were presented. Everyone enjoyed a lot. All the teachers tapped their feet on the beats of music. The whole Green Land community was present under one roof. Worthy Chairman Sir opined on the occasion that celebration of teachers day aims to acknowledge and honour teachers for their self less efforts in shaping and enriching the education system. He expressed that teaching has always been considered a noble profession and his own years as a teacher have been the most satisfying and fulfilling in life. He opined that through teachers flow the values and culture of a nation and its people. Teachers own value system, their character and their behaviour directly influence our children. He stressed strongly that only teachers can make children successful human beings. He spoke about loyality and sincerity which according to him are the qualities a teacher must have. He praised teachers for their dedicated work and advised that teachers should inculcate these qualities int heir students. He quoted the words of Dr. Radha Krishnan, ‘Teachers should be the best minds in the country’.
Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan said, while addressing the teachers, that we, as teachers, must follow the teachings and ideals of Dr. Radha Krishnan to become and then remain successful in our lives. She also opined that this function is a small token of our Institution’s gratitude to the great fraternity of teachers.

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. participated in Inter State Karate Championship organized at Chandigarh, Mohali Sec-29, Garwal Bahwan. In this competition 350 students from different schools participated. 30 students from Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh, participated in this competition under the guidance of Chief Coach Mr. Pankaj Sahani. The students won 15 Gold Medals, 10 Silver Medals & 5 Bronze Medals.
In overall result the students of the school proved their matles and shone like star and brought laurels to the school.
The Chairman – Cum – Director of the school Sh. Rajesh Rudhra felt pride on the glorious achievement of the students. He congratulated all the winners and blessed them. Janamashtmi – The Incarnation of Lord Krishna

With a purpose to commemorate Lord Krishan’s Incarnation on this earth, Janamashtmi was celebrated with enthusiasm and excitement at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. All the children were filled with vigour and zeal. Everyone was in the festive spirit. Tableaux depicting various life spans of Lord Krishna were displayed. Many children were attired as little Krishans and and his companion gopies. Students chanted shalokas on the occasion. There were captivating dances on ‘Wo Kishna Hai’, ‘Gobind Bolo Hari Gopal Bolo’, ‘Bhakat Ke Vash Mein Hai Bhagwan’, ‘Mero Man Ho Gyo Lata Pata’ etc. The performance of tiny tots on the ht θ hbysong ‘Krishna Makhan Chor’ was mesmerizing. The Chairman-Cum-Director Sh. Rajesh Rudhra, Smt. Usha Rudhra, Sh. Shabad Rudhra & Smt. Vijayata Rudhra were the chief guests of the function. ‘Dahi Handi’ a tradition which represents Lord Krishna’s playful and mischievous side was also followed by Sh. Rajesh Rudhra by breaking the ‘Pot of Butter’. In his speech Sh. Rajesh Rudhra motivated the students to follow the ideals and teachings of Lord Krishna. He emphasized on the theory of ‘Karma’ prophesized by Lord Krishna that ‘Go on working hard God will definitely reward you. It was a great show, full of fun and frolic. Keeping in view the present scenario Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. Participated in Punjab Board, State Level, Taekwondo Championship held at Muktsar from 17th to 19th August, 2013. Students from 16 different districts participated in this prestigious event. The students of Green Land, Sec-32 Ramandeep got victory in wonderful manner. Ramandeep Kaur a student of VI std. of the school bagged Gold Medal in U-14 category. She is also selected for National Level Taekwondo Championship to be held at Andher Pradesh from 6th to 12th September, 2013. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated her. The Chairman-Cum-Director Mr. Rajesh Rudhra inspired her with his valuable advice to move forward.

Independence Day – A Tribute To Nation By Green Land

67th Independence Day celebrations turned really into a gala event on the premises of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh., The glory and ambience of the school was worth seeing on that day. The whole atmosphere was imbued with the spirit of patriotism. Tri colour flags and balloons were adding to this spirit. Students were attired as various freedom fighters. They raised slogans like ‘Vande Mataram’ & ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.
The day started with the Flag Hoisting Ceremony by the Chairman–Cum–Director Sh. Rajesh Rudhra, General Secretary Ms. Usha Rudhra, President Mr. Shabad Rudhra, Vice President Ms. Vijayata Rudhra, and Principal of the school Ms. Vinita Sanan along with staff members and students. The students sang patriotic songs and also presented a cultural programme. They tapped their feet on the tunes of various songs like ‘Patriotic Dance’, ‘Singham’, ‘Aashayein’ & ‘Hum Balak Hindustan Ke’ etc.
The whole atmosphere resounded with the slogan ‘Jai Ho!’. Sh. Rajesh Rudhra in his address laid stress that students should be ideal and responsible citizens and must protect freedom and carry the nation on the path of progress. Students took an oath for the same motive.
Principal of the school Ms. Vinita Sanan who was herself embossed in this patriotic spirit paid a salute to all the martyrs who laid their lives to earn freedom for the country. She also appreciated the efforts made by one and all to make this celebration a huge event. The whole atmosphere was filled with the feelings of patriotism and the programme came to an end with the ‘National Anthem’.

Poetry Recitation at Green Land Convent

In order to bring out the hidden talent of tiny-tots, a Poetry Recitation Competition was organized by Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. The themes were Festivals, Seasons, Country, Save Earth, Means of Transport & Birds – Our Helpers etc. The little poets displayed marvelous talent. Overall it was a captivating performance.

English Declamation Contest at Green Land Convent

To enhance the speaking skills of the students an English Declamation Contest was organized at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. Various thoughts provoking topics like: India-Our Motherland, What I Want To Be, Girl Child Is The Darling Of Her Parents were picked by the students of IV-V std. to express themselves. Green Land Visits Post Office

With a view to enhance the general awareness of the students Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road Ldh. teachers took the students of II std. to Post Office. Firstly they were introduced to the Postmaster who welcomed them and himself took the initiative to guide the students. They were informed about Money Counters, Saving Counters. The other employees of the Post Office imparted knowledge to the students about Envelops, Aerograms and Post Card. The tiny tots returned to the school with high spirits.

Pool Party At Green Land Convent School, Sec-32

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, had celebrated ‘Pool Party’ on 12th July, 2013. The students from classes P.Nsy to Ist participated whole heartedly. The scene of artificial sea beach was created in the school and decorated with balloons and flowers. The kids enjoyed the shower of the rain. They danced on the song also. The main attraction of the celebration was that even teachers also joined the children in this celebration. Children enjoyed rain dance a lot! This gayful celebration was appreciated by honourable principal Smt. Vinita Sanan.

Green Land Winner in Bhutan Karate Championship

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. participated in International Level Indo Bhutan Karate Championship on 22nd and 23rd June, 2013. More than 250 students of 10 States participated in this championship to try their luck. 8 students in all participated from Green Land and all of them proved their mettle by winning Gold, Silver & Bronze. Mehak, Rajveer, Vansh & Harsh Rana bagged Gold Medals and won laurels for the school. Rajesh and Tanvi brought name & fame to school by winning Silver Medal and Snehdeep, Pratham got Bronze Medal.
The Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan applauded the efforts of the students as well as their Coach Mr. Pankaj. She opined that such competitions enhance the confidence.

Green Land Lad Shines In Science Olympiad

Abdul Ahad of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. brought laurels to the school by standing first in state in International Olympiad organized by Society of Science Federation (Silver Zone Foundation). He bagged 3rd olympiad rank. He was awarded a Nokia Mobile as a prize and a Trophy. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan applauded the efforts of the child by saying that this little genius is born with God gifted talent and the untiring efforts of the school are praise worthy.

GREEN LAND TAKES ANOTHER LEAP IN CLASS X RESULT

Heading towards excellence, Class X students of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. produced wonderful result. This result has brought name & fame not only to the students but also to their teachers, parents, management and Principal as well. Out of 125students, 46 students secured CGPA-10 and 11 students got above CGPA-9.0. An excited and hilarious Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the students, teachers & Parents for this wonderful success. She also opined that hard work takes a person to horizons of success and glory.

Declamation Contest Concludes at Green Land Convent

To enhance the speaking skills of the students an Inter House Declamation Contest was organized at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. Various thoughts provoking topics like:Mobile Phones boon or ban, Corporal Punishment, Good Manners, Books are best friends & All that glitters is not good were picked by the students to express themselves. This contest provided a nice platform for the students to opine themselves. Jyoti, Kirti, Jagriti & Shakti House students excelled over others. The students of Jyoti house got first & Third Prize & the students of Kirti House got Second prize. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan stressed that such competitions should be organized for overall development of the children.

Greenland Organised Fancy Dress Competition

Greenland Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. Organized a Fancy Dress Competition. The theme of Fancy Dress Competition: I Am The Alphabet, Meet With My Friendly Numbers, Welcome to Summer Season & How To Become A Good Child. Children were dressed in variety of attires. They presented themselves as Queen, Bird, Animal, Alphabets, Numbers, Newspaper, Gas Cylinder, Tooth Paste, Detole and other usable proud. Principal of the school Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the children for making this show a grand success.

Red Day At Green Land

Red Day was observed in Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. with great fun and frolic. The students of Pre-Nsy and Nsy came in red attires and were looking very beautiful. Everybody was enthralled see their performance as they song and danced to the tunes of different songs. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan appreciated their performances and opined that different days should be observed to give tiny tots recognition of colours.

Freshers’ Party At Greenland

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. organized Fresher’s Party on 2nd May to initiate the students into the process of active learning. It was for the tiny tots of Pre-Nsy and Nsy. Guys were dressed in Fancy T-Shirt and Capri whereas girls were in Gown and Hat. To extend a welcome to these freshers, senior wing girls presented a dance show. Selection of ‘Mr. Fresher’ and ‘Miss. Fresher’ was the most enthralling moment of this gala event. A Group dance by little angels mesmerized everyone. The tiny tots did modeling in beautiful attires. Principal Mrs. Vinita Sanan welcomed the tiny tots onto the campus by cutting the cake. She presented crown to Mr. Fresher, tiara to Miss Fresher and prizes to Mr. Elegant, Miss Elegant, Beautiful Smile, Style Icon and well dressed up. She blessed them for their bright future.

Green Land Won Medals In Karate Championship

The students of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. Proved their mettle by winning one Gold and One Silver Medal in National Ashihara Karate Championship – 2013 at Green View Public School in Magam, Kashmir. The Championship was organized from 1st to 4th May, 2013. 500 participants from different states like U.P, Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab etc. took part in the competition.
Green Land students faced tough competition but they emerged winners. Partham Rana under weight category 24 to 26 kg got Silver Medal and Snehdeep under weight category 22 to 24 kg emerged as ‘Numero Uno’ by winning Gold Medal. The prizes were awarded to the winners by SSP, I.P.S Uttam Chand. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan gave hearty welcome to the students and applauded their efforts to excel opining that such championships are a step forward in one’s security.

‘Earth Day At Green Land’

To lend a helping hand to our ailing planet i.e. Earth, students of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. celebrated Earth Day in respond to earth’s call for help on 24th April, 2013. For the purpose of creating awareness among the masses the students displayed presentations. The ailment that is spoiling our environment is pollution depicting the same the students gave presentations on ‘Stop Pollution’. So in all it was an awareness show. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the students and concerned teachers for spreading awareness among students.

Poster Making Gathers one and all

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, organized a Poster-Making Competition. Posters made by the children on various topics were put on display. Students had put lives into the lifeless situations. Students, teachers, parents came to see the poster and appreciated them. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan opined that such competitions develop the aesthetic sense of the children.

Baisakhi Celebrations at Green Land

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. celebrated Baisakhi with great enthusiasm. The harvest festival showcased various tableaux with great fun, frolic and fervour. Boys and girls were dressed as ‘Gabrus’ and ‘Mutiars’. The students were dressed as farmers, selling their crop in the field and relishing their yield. There was a mesmerizing dance performance by the students of classes P.Nsy to II. The song ‘Deh Shiva Var Mohe’ came out to be very melodious. The students of classes III to V participated in solo song competition and enthralled everyone with their voice. There was a ‘Punjabi Bolian’ competition for classes VI onwards. The senior students also attracted everyone’s attention with their captivating performance. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the students on the foundation day of Green Land Convent School. She also made the students aware of the religious importance of Baisakhi and opined that such celebrations infuse a spirit of courage and confidence amongst the students.

Green Land Bids Adieu To XII

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. organized a farewell party in its premises on 19th February 2013 for the students of class XII. The function was presided over by Sh. Rajesh Rudhra, the Chairman-Cum-Director of Chain of Green Land Schools.
Class XII students gave brilliant performance and enthralled the audience. Dance and Modelling were the main attraction of the day.
Sh. Rajesh Rudhra gave his blessings to the students and wished them good luck. He emphasized on ‘work is worship’ and encouraged the students to burn their midnight oil and leave no stone unturned to come out in flying colours in their future life. He wished for their accomplishments in all future endeavours.
The curtain of the function was let down by dance and music. On the note of music, students danced in a hilarious mood and rocked the stage. Everyone was witnessed having fun. The students gave token of love to Green Land family. Ms. Vinita Sanan, who is always deeply involved in all the educational activities of the school, also blessed the students with the momentous. She opined that the students should aim high after leaving our Institute. It was indeed a memorable event for the outgoing students of Green Land Convent School.

Basant Panchami Celebrated At Green Land

The students of Green Land Convent School celebrated Basant Panchami with great enthusiasm on the school campus. The tiny tots enthralled everyone with the song ‘Mene Kaha Phulon Se’. Rangoli and Basant costumes competitions were organized. Yellow gaudy costumes and traditional Jewellery worn by tiny tots caught the eyes of the beholders. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan expressed her joy at the performances of the students.

Green Land Got Three Trophies In Fancy Dress Competition

Students of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. won the allover prize in Fancy Dress Competition organized by Ludhiana Sahodaya School Complex held at DCM Presidency School on 2nd February, 2013. Tanveer Kaur of Nsy class got First Prize in Group I, Gursehaj Singh of I got Second Prize in Group II & Vani Tyagi of Class Ist got First Prize in Group II. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan appreciated their great efforts.

Green Land Participated in 33rd Open Judo Championship

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. participated in 33rd Open Judo Championship held at Bathinda. The students of our school won two medals. Sarabjeet Singh of class IX got Silver Medal for II Position & Manik Verma of class XI got Bronze Medal for III Position. The Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan appreciated their efforts.

Republic Day Celebrated With A Bang

64th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and vigour at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. Sh.Rajesh Rudhra Chairman-cum-Director of chain of Green Land Schools, Sh. Shabad Rudhra & Ms. Vijayata Rudhra presided over the function. The event started with the hoisting of the tri-colour Flag of India. It was followed by melodious rendition of National Anthem by the students. The students danced to the beats of ‘Tera Hi Jalwa’ and ‘Dulhan Chali’. The variety of songs and sequences performed by the students mesmerized everyone. The Director Sh. Rajesh Rudhra explained the difference between the Independence Day & Republic Day. He appealed the students to come forward and to uproot the social evils like corruption and protect the hard earned freedom of the country. He put stress on the importance of Discipline in the life. He congratulated all on this auspicious occasion. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the teachers and the students. She expressed that the teachers should impart value education to the students so that they can become ideal and responsible citizens of the country. The function came to an end with National Anthem.

To purify the environment and to spread serenity in the Institution, a Havan was organized at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. Sh. Green Land Excels in Debate Competition

Green Land students excelled in debate competition held at Green Land Convent School Dugri under the aegis of Ludhiana Sahodaya School Complex. The topic for the debate was ‘India is still discriminating against its women’. The students debated very well by quoting examples from present day scenario. Pavneet of X std. bagged consolation prize by speaking against the topic. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the winner opining that such competitions are necessary to boost the confidence of the students.

Gurupurb Celebrated At Greenland School

To commorate the Birthday of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Gurupurb was celebrated with great joy in Greenland Convent School Sec 32, Chd. Road Ldh. Students cited melodious Shabads. They sang ‘d/j fFtk to w'fj fJj?” shabad. Everyone was spell bound by their performance. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan in her speech cited many examples from Gurugranth Sahib. She stressed upon the need of telling truth all the time and living in a sacred way. The function ended on a religious note.

Green Land In Festive Spirit

Lohri was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. The celebration began with the lighting of ceremonial bonfire. Students & Teachers danced around it on the beats of Dhol. Groundnuts, Bhuga, Reveris, Gachak etc were distributed amongst all. The school was giving a festive look. Everyone danced to the beats of Punjabi traditional songs. A kite flying competition was also organized in which the senior students brought colourful kites. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan apprised the students of the importance of Lohri.

Green Land Won First Prize In Hindi Declamation

Parneet Kaur of Class VII won the First Prize in Hindi Declamation Contest organized by Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex, held at Green Land Convent School, Dugri, Phase – II, Ldh. on 8th January, 2013. She expressed her views on the topic ‘Cartoon Ki Duniya Mein Khoya Bachpan’. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated and appreciated her efforts.

Annual Sports Meet At Green Land

Around 200 students congregated for the Annual Sports Day of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. Students took part in a number of sports events. Students from classed I to V found platform to showcase their sporting talents in a string of events like Clown Race, Flower Race, Animal Race, Lemon Race, Slow Cycling Race, Biscuit Race, Three Leg Race, Tug of War and Sack Race. The opening ceremony was done by little cheer leaders. A cultural fiesta was also organized in the beginning. The senior wing events included 100 metre 200 metre 400 metre Race, Frog Race, Lemon race, Hurdle Race, Tug of War and so on. Competition spirit ran high as four house Jagriti, Kirti, Jyoti and Shakti of the school vied for the top spot. Some of the meritorious participants of Green Land were awarded certificates Simranpreet of XII-Science adjudged the best athlete. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan appreciated the efforts made by the students opining that Sports Meet is a necessity to inculcate the value of sportsmanship in the students.

Christmas Day Celebrated At GreenLand

Christmas Day was celebrated with great fervour and show at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 Chd. Road, Ldh. There was festivity in the air. Students dressed as Santa Claus, Angels and Fairies looked gay and happy. They danced and sang Christmas carols. With zeal and enthusiasm tiny-tots celebrated the day by wishing all the teachers and students by going in the classes. Our little Santa’s and Fairies made the day joys and remunerable. Principal of the school congratulated the students and advised them to follow the righteous path of non-violence and serve humanity in the true spirit.

Confidence At Its Best In Radio Jockey Show

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. organized a Radio Jockey Show to chisel the speaking skills of the students. All the students were very confident about their speaking. It was interesting to watch the students displaying their speaking skills. The way students jockeying was worth witnessing. The show ended with the encouraging words of Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan.

HEALTHY FOOD AT GREEN LAND

The tiny – tots of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. celebrated Healthy Food Day to keep the students away from unhealthy Junk Food. Menu was given and the students were asked to bring food according to that. The aim was to make the students aware of the benefits of healthy and harmful effects of unhealthy food. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan stressed on the need to lead a disease free life by opting for healthy food.

Artistic Talent Displayed By Green Land

With a purpose to enhance the creative skills of the students Green Land Convent School, sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. organized Gift Wrapping for the classes III-IV. The students displayed amazing creativity with the gift papers. It was an enthralling show which attracted everyone’s attention. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan praised the students and opined that such activities are must to improve the aesthetic skill of the students.

Annual Prize Distribution Function At Green Land

The students of Green Land Convent school Sec- 32, Chd. Road, Ldh. gave a scintillating performance during the Annual Prize Distribution Function held in the school auditorium. Theme of the function was ‘Mother’ who is a life force and beacon of light for the children. The entire performance was dedicated to this epitome of love and sacrifice.
The function was organized with great pomp and show. The Chief Guests was Sh. Swapan Sharma (I.P.S) A.C.P, Ludhiana The function started with an invocation and lamp lighting ceremony. The cultural fiesta started with Ganesh Vandana to spread divine ambience and to seek blessings from “Vighan Harta”. The originality of the prayer filled the audience with sanctity. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan read the Annual Report of the school. After that it was the turn of thematic venture ‘MAA KA DIL’. It was a magnificent choreography which enthralled the audience. It was a mesmerizing depiction of mother’s relationship with her offspring. It showed in a beautiful way the journey of a child starting from birth, marriage and then culminating in mother’s sacrifice. This choreography won huge applause from the audience.
Then the students of senior wing presented a musical extravaganza through a sufi rendition “Khawaja mere Khawaja” Haryanvi dance “Ghumar” was another highlight of the programme. The evening was capped off with an electrifying Bhangra Performance where the students and the audience danced to the tunes of rustic Punjabi numbers. All the dances were an amalgamation of elegance, exuberance and vigour. After this remarkable cultural fiesta prizes were awarded to meritorious students who won laurels for the school in academics and sports.
The Chief Guest in his speech praised the cultural items and congratulated the prize winners opining that such students are the pride of parents and the nation. He stressed that motherhood is always the most sacred and noble sentiment and the mother is always beside us to protect and nurture us. So we should always be respectful to this apostle of God.
Sh. Rajesh Rudhra, the Chairman-Cum-Director of Chain of Green Land Schools, in his speech praised the cultural fiesta and stated that the talent and the upbeat mood of the students were worth witnessing. She devotes all her time in rearing and caring her little ones. He further added that every great man has acknowledged with gratitude the part played by his mother in his success. If we have a glimpse in the history, we come to know that the great mothers like Jija Bai, Mata Gujri Ji and many more had sown such seeds of moral values in their sons that they embraced death smilingly. For such martyrs nation always feels proud.
Ms. Vinita Sanan, the Principal of the school read out the annual report highlighting its achievements throughout the year. She then reflected on the significance of mother’s role in one’s life opining that it is the mother only who teaches diligence and selfless service towards humanity. She guided the students that paying heed to mother’s advice will surely generate unprecedented success.
In the end she expressed her gratitude to the benefactors i.e. the guests of the day.

Gurupurb Celebrated With Enthusiasm

Gurupurab was celebrated with great fervour and religious sanctity at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. It was celebrated to commemorate the birthday of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. A Shabad Gayan show was put up by the students on this occasion which was followed by community meal (Langar) and Prashad. In her address Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan stressed upon the celebration of such occasions for the sake of making our children religious minded and thus bringing out a transformation in society.

Green Land Emerges Runner-up

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, emerged second runner-up in Ludhiana Sahodaya School Complex Hockey Tournament held at Nankana Sahib Sr. Sec. School on 19th & 20th November, 2012. The school team did wonders in the league match to be the II runner-up under 19 category. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the students on this achievement.

Diwali Celebrated With A Bang

Diwali, a festival of lights, was celebrated with a big boom and a bang at Green Land. Students decorated their classes with Balloons, Buntings, Sparklers, Earthen Lamps and Candles. Rangoli competition was also organized at this occasion where the best Rangoli was adjudged by a group of teachers. It was for the students from different houses (Jagriti, Kirti, Jyoti & Shakti) of class VI to XII. The students of Kirti house emerged winners. Students made different patterns of Rangoli & decorated their classes which were appreciated by one and all. The Principal, in her address advised the students to follow the ideals of Lord Rama in their lives also.

In an efforts to home the Public Speaking Skills of the students Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. organized Public Speaking Contest. for classes I-V std. the topics were country, discipline, honesty, save water, save trees and books-Our Best Friends. All the students spoke very well and displayed their talent. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan while appreciating the efforts of these little children said that in this jet age only the ones with stage confidence will held the main stream of the society.

Newspaper Day – A Step Ahead For Reading

Keeping in mind the present scenario of video games, internet, i-pods etc, Green Land Convent School, Sector-32, Chd. Road, organized News-Paper Day. It was a step to inculcate the reading habits amongst the youngsters which are on a decline there days. Every student was asked to read a part of newspaper in one period. It created an intellectual atmosphere in the school. Such competitions are a must to make children sensitive to present day society and its problems.

Green Land Excelled in Karate

Keeping in view the present scenario Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. Participated in Karate competition organized by Ludhiana Sahodaya School Complex at B.C.M. Arya Model Sr. Sec. School on 3rd & 4th November, 2012 and got victory in wonderful manners. Different schools of Ludhiana participated in this prestigious event. Students of Green Land Sakshi Sharma & Khushi got Gold Medal & Trophy, Ramandeep, Tanya & Kritika won Silver Medal, Sakshi Choudhary, Mehak, Guddi, Rajesh & Pratham won Bronze.
This event was won by the students under the able guidance of their coach Mr. Pankaj Sahni. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the winners by saying that such events are a necessity in Today’s World.

Raising of New NCC Half Troop JD At Green Land

NCC started at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. after raising of NCC Half Troop 50 Cadet Vacancies of Junior Division (Boys) by Lt. Colonel S.K. Bahrdwaj Commanding Officer 3 Punjab BN NCC. The honourable guest was warmly welcomed by the Principal of the school. He delivered a motivational lecture for the students in which he gave the golden rules to lead a disciplined life. He quoted that such life always leads to success. In his lecture he stressed upon the urge for systematic living. He stated that an army man serves for the cause of Nation. So the students should prepare themselves for army. He further informed the students about different career options open for them after joining NCC. The Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan proposed vote of thanks opining that such lectures are a must for inculcating values and discipline in the students. She conveyed her heartiest thanks to the revered guest for sparing his precious moments for the students.

CCE & FA TRAINING WORKSHOP FOR TEACHERS

To facilitate the teaching – learning process in teacher and taught, a workshop on CCE and FA Training was organized by CBSE at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. Sh. R.J. Khanderao , Regional Officer, CBSE, Panchkula Region, inaugurated the workshop. Sh. Khanderao was conferred a floral welcome by Sh. Rajesh Rudhra, the Chairman-Cum-Director of Chain of the Green Land Schools. Workshop started with an invocation of almighty and lamp lighting ceremony. Students presented Shabad, ‘Deh Shiva Var Mohe Ehe’ and Ganesh Vandana. About 300 teachers from different CBSE schools attended the workshop.
During the workshop resource persons Mr. Ravinder Kumar and Dr. Amrit Aujla threw light on various aspects of C.C.E. Their main thrust was to train the teachers on CCE in both scholastic as well as co-scholastic areas. To present their point more effectively, various activities e.g. ‘Learn’, ‘Apply’, ‘Reflect’ and the like were arranged for the teachers. They were divided in groups. Resource persons asked problems from different groups that they face during class room teaching. Each group came up with their problems and the solutions to the same were discussed by the resource persons with the help of teachers. This discussion proved to be very thought provoking and knowledgeable for the teachers present there. The Chief Guest Sh. R.J. Khanderao in his address, stressed upon the effective teaching learning process. He stated that this marathon session by the resource persons would prove to be a real guiding light for the teacher community. It will be a privilege for them to come closer to the students. The Chairman Sh. Rajesh Rudhra exhorted the teachers to get accustomed to new changes for holistic development of the students. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan proposed Vote of thanks saying that such workshops are a must to follow for each and every teacher. She sincerely thanked Sh. Khanderao and worthy resource persons from the core of her heart. She opined that this workshop if taken in true spirit by the teachers, would prove to be a great stress buster for both teacher and taught. On the whole it was a great success.

Green Land Lad Takes Another Leap in Nationals

With a view to enhance the physical capabilities of the students, Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. participates in different physical activities. One such venture was the participation of Shiv Sagar of Class IX who participated in Sub Junior State Level Judo Championship and bagged Gold Medal. He is also selected for National Level Judo Championship to be held at Gohati from 3rd to 5th October. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the winner. The Chairman-Cum-Director Mr. Rajesh Rudhra inspired him with his valuable advice to move forward.

Educational - Tour A Step To Knowledge

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. conducted an Industrial tour for the students of class XI Commerce on 29th September, 2012. It was a venture under the project work of Business Studies recommended by C.B.S.E. This privilege of conducting the tour was provided with the consent of Sambhav Spinning Mills, Ludhiana. Sixty five students were provided information about the textile industry where cotton thread is manufactured. The Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan appreciated the efforts of the students in getting practical knowledge of the procedure.

GREEN LAND CONVENT SCHOOL CELEBRATED ‘GANDHI JAYANTI WITH FULL FERVOUR

On the occassion of birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, Green Land organized a programme. Students sang song ‘Raghu Pati Raghav Raja Ram’ on this auspicious occasion. The students of Nsy & K.G were also imparted knowledge about Gandhi Ji. The Director of the school Mr. Rajesh Rudhra highlighted the Principles and Teachings of Gandhi Ji. He emphasized on ‘Truth and Non-Violence’ . He guided the students to adopt ‘Simple living & High thinking’ as their way of living. The Principal of the school Ms. Vinita Sanan guided the students to have firm determination in them. She also congratulated the staff and students on this occassion.

On this patriotic occasion, the school was decorated with tricolour, balloons and flowers. The day started with Flag Hoisting Ceremony By Sh. The students sang patriotic songs and also presented a cultural programme. The students tapped their feet on the tunes of various patriotic songs. The whole atmosphere resounded with the slogan ‘JAI HO!’ students also presented a slide show depicting various freedom fighters, development of civilization and also various amazing facts about India. President Shabad Rudhra, in his address, conveyed the students to be ideal & responsible citizens and they must also protect freedom and carry the Nation to the path of progress. Janamashtami Celebrated With Fervour

Janamashtami was celebrated with great fervour in Green Land Convent School. There was a lot of zeal and excitement in the hearts of children. All were seen in a festive spirit. Tableaux depicting various life spans of ‘Lord Krishna’ were displayed. Many children were dressed as little Krishnas and his companion gopies. Students chanted mantras & shlokas on this occassion. Students performance on ‘Madhuban’, ‘Ja Re Hat Natkhat’ and ‘Radha Dhoond Rahi’ dance was spellbound. The Chairman-Cum-Director of the Chain of Green Land Schools Mr. Rajesh Rudhra and General Secretary Ms. Usha Rudhra were the Chief Guests of the function. In his speech Shri Rajesh Rudhra motivated the students to follow the teachings of Shri Krishna. He emphasized on ‘Hard Work’ as it is the best way to achieve one’s aim in life. It was a great show, full of fun and frolic. Principal of the school impressed upon the children, the importance of following the ideals of Lord Krishna. ‘Rain means merriment, joy, happiness!’

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, had celebrated ‘Rain Dance Party’ on 20th July, 2012. The students from classes P.Nsy to K.G. participated whole heartedly. The scene of artificial sea beach was created in the school and decorated with balloons and flowers. The kids enjoyed the shower of the rain. They danced on the song also. The main attraction of the celebration was that even teachers also joined the children in this celebration. Children enjoyed rain dance a lot! This gayful celebration was appreciated by honourable principal Smt. Vinita Sanan.

Fruit Day – A Gala Day

To keep unhealthy junk food at bay, Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. celebrated ‘Fruit Party’. Students came to school costumed as different fruits. The tiny tots were looking captivating in their fruit attires. They were dancing. It was celebrated with a purpose to make the children aware of the benefits of fruits. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan in her address laid importance on eating fruits to lead a healthy and disease free life.

Earth Day Celebrated With Enthusiasm

To lend a helping hand to our ailing planet i.e earth, students of Green Land Convent School, Sec – 32, Chd Rd., Ldh. celebrated ‘Earth Day’ on 26.04.2012. To create awareness among the masses, children displayed their presentation. Students of class I presented a song ‘Mere Desh Ki Dharti’. To save the tigers from getting extinct, class II gave a presentation titled ‘Save Tigers’. Another ailment which is cursing out planet is pollution. Depicting the same, class III gave their presentation on ‘Stop pollution’. In all, it was an ‘Awareness Show’ for one and all. Principal Vinita Sanan appreciated the efforts made by the students in this regard and congratulated the teachers concerned for making the show a success.

Singing Wizards At Their Best

Music is the soul of every living form. To prove it so, the students of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Roas, Ldh. organized a Solo Song Competition. Students participated in it with great zeal and zest and sang songs belonging to almost every genre. The competition was divided in two groups. In group A Prabhjot Kaur of VIII stood First, Sanna of IX stood Second and Sukhneet of X remained Third. Akhil of X and Taranjeet of IX got consolation. In group B Manjot Kaur of XII Science & Prabhleen of XI Commerce stood First, Mehak of XI Commerce stood Second and Gurpreet of XII Arts bagged Third position. Gurleen & Suvidhi of XI Commerce got Consolation. Overall it was an entertaining show. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan appreciated the efforts of the students. In her address she expressed that such competitions are must to enhance the confidence and of course talent of the students.

Green Land Organises Healthy Baby Contest

Keeping in mind the present health scenario, the tiny tots of P.NSY and NSY of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. celebrated Healthy Baby Contest. Students were judged by their physical fitness and strength. Blood groups of these tiny tots were also checked. In this contest Harpreet Singh stood I, Gurleen Kaur stood II & Damanpreet Bagged III Position. It was a gala day for the students as they learnt the value of being healthy. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan awarded certificates to the winners. In her address she created awareness among the students about the importance of health and motivated them to adopt a healthy life style.

Clay Modeling Gathers One And All

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. organized a Clay modeling contest for the students of I and II standard. It was done to test the creativity of children. Different types of Clay Models were at display. Students put lives into the lifeless things. Everybody appreciated the Models. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan opined that such competitions develop the aesthetic sense of children.

Craftsmanship at Display

To give vent to the skill of their craftsmanship K.G. wing students of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road,Ldh. participated in Paper Tearing and Pasting Contest. They were able to created various designs with this techniques. Principal of the school Ms. Vinita Sanan expressed that such activities develop the mental faculties of the children.

Inter House Maths Quiz At Green Land

For the purpose of brain storming of the students, Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. organized an Inter House Maths Quiz on 21st April, 2012 for classes VI to VIII. In all, four houses Shakti House, Jagriti House, Kirti House and Jyoti House participated and displayed their ingenuity in Pictorial Round, General Round and Buzzer Round. It was hosted by students and conducted by Maths Department. Jagriti House was declared the winner. It was an effort to enhance the reasoning and Mathematical skills of the students. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan gave away the certificates and while congratulating the students, asked them to be more pro active and keep participating in such contests.

 

Freshers’ Party At Green Land

To initiate the students into process of active learning, Green Land Convent School, Sector 32, Chd. Road, organized Freshers’ Party for the tiny-tots of Pre-Nsy and Nsy. Guys were dressed in Red Fancy T-Shirt and Black Capri whereas gals were in Red Gown and Black hat. To extend a welcome to these freshers, senior wing girls presented a dance show. Selection of ‘Mr. Fresher’ and ‘Miss. Fresher’ was the most enthralling moment of this gala event. Principal Mrs. Vinita Sanan welcomed the tiny tots onto the campus by cutting the cake. She presented crown to Mr. Fresher Gurnoor Singh, tiara to Miss Fresher Sifat, Mr. Elegant Karanveer Singh, Miss Elegant Nishtha, Mr. Photogenic Ayush Patial, Miss Photogenic Jyoti, Beautiful Smile Kavin Goaswami and blessed them for their bright future.

 

Yellow Day ‘A Gala Day’

To keep the old customs alive and to make the children aware of the changing season Green Land Convent School sec-32, Chd. Road, celebrated Basant Panchmi with fervour and enthusiasm. The students of P.NSY, NSY and K.G. enjoyed to the maximum. They brought yellow eatables, toys and balloons. They were looking very attractive in yellow attire. The students mesmerized everyone with their dances on the songs ‘Mera Sohna Desh Punjab’ and ‘Rangla Punjab’. Principal Mrs. Vinita Sanan opined that such celebrations infuse a spirit of courage and confidence amongst the students.

 

Green Land Convent School Celebrated Republic Day

Republic Day was celebrated with zeal and fervour at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana on January 26. The school ground was decorated with Tricolour Flags, balloons to mark the occasion. The students presented dance on the song “Rang De Basanti and Yeh Desh Hai Veer Jawano Ka”. They also performed a variety of songs and dance sequences that won the hearts and minds of the audience.
III std. students enacted the scene of Jallianwala Bagh. II std. students presented the execution of Bhagat Singh beautifully. The fight against Simon Commission was presented wonderfully by the students of I std. On this occasion students and teachers took Oath that they will serve their country in an honest way. The Director of the school in his speech highlighted the sacrifices made by the great freedom fighters. He urged the students to follow the Principles of our great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chander Bose etc. The Principal of the school Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the teachers and students on this auspicious occasion. Lohri Brings Cheers To All

Festive spirit was at its best at the onset of Lohri celebrations. Green Land Senior Secondary School , Sector 32, Chd. Road, Ldh. Celebrated Lohri in their campus on January, 2012. Main attraction of the celebration was Kite flying competition which was organized in various categories viz a viz juniors, sub- juniors, seniors etc. Winners were given prizes by the Principal. There after a bonfire was lit where students as well as teachers danced around it on the beats of Dhol. Groundnuts, Bhuga, Reveris, Gachak etc. were distributed amongst all. In her address, Principal Miss Vinita Sanan opined that such celebrations bind us to our tradition as well as to each other.

 

Christmas Day Celebrated At Green Land Convent School, Sec-32

Christmas Day was celebrated with great pomp and show at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road Ldh. There was festivity in the air. Students dressed as Santa Claus, Angels and Fairies looked gay and happy. They danced and sang Christmas carols. The Nativity Scene was presented depicting the birth of Jesus Christ, Santa Claus visited in his decorated chariot bringing joy and happiness to all. The Chairman of chain of Green Land Schools, Sh. Rajesh Rudhra was the chief guest of the day. He congratulated the students and advised them to follow the righteous path of non-violence and serve humanity in the true spirit. Dancing Wizards At Their Best

A Solo Dance Competition was organized in the campus of Green Land Convent School, Se-32, Chd. Road, Ldh, to find the ‘Dancing Wizard’. This competition was amongst the Haryanavi, Rajsthani, Salsa, Hip-Hop and Western Dance. Students presented various of talent. ‘Puppet Show Entertains At Green Land’

With a purpose to entertain the students, a Puppet Show was organized at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road. The puppets were decorated beautifully with eye catching attires. Students displayed marvelous finger art to make them dance on different songs. Students enjoyed to the maximum. Green Land Celebrates Martyrdom Day of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji

Martyrdom day of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji was celebrated with great devotion at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. Students paid obeisance to Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji. They sang hymns like:- ‘Man Vairag Pya-Darshan Dekhne ka Chao, Main Vanjaran Ram Ki-Tera Naam Vakhar Vapaar Ji’ which mesmerized all with divine feelings. Through the celebration students were taught the great teachings of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji. They were given the message to lead a life of self respect and dignity and to curb all the evils. While following these principles one should be humble, true and honest. The school echoed with the Jaap of ‘Satnam Waheguru’.
Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan delivered message to the students that the true hero is the one who fights in defense of the humble and advised to unite with Lord by living noble, righteous life. Winners of Taekwondo Tournament

Ludhiana Sahodaya School Complex Taekwondo Tournament held at B.C.M Chd Road on 19th and 20th November. Nearly 450 students from different school of Ludhiana participated. Students of Green Land Convent School, Chd. Road captured Ist position in under 14 girls category, 2nd position in under 14 boys category. Ramandeep Kaur, Ramanpreet Kaur, Gurjot Kaur, Jannat Chhabra in girls category and Roshan, Ritul , Dixit ,Faisal and Simranpreet in boys category hoisted the flag of victory. The students of the school won 10 Gold Medals, 8 Silver Medals & 6 Bronze Medals and overall grabbed 3rd position. Rajveer Kaur, Davneet Kaur , Damanpreet Kaur, Sakshi Sharma and Khushi also won Gold Medals in different categories.

Gurupurab Celebrated At Green Land School

To commemorate the Birthday of Guru Nanak Dev Ji Gurupurab was celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm in Green Land Convent School Sec 32, Chd. Road Ldh. Students cited melodious Shabads. Everyone was spell bound by their performance. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan in her speech cited many quotes from Guru Granth Sahib. She stressed upon the need of telling truth all the time and living in a pious way. The function ended on a religious note.

 

Poem Recitation

Poem Recitation Competition was organized at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. It was organized for classes VI – XI two students from each class participated. Later on, three best students were adjudged on the basis of their content, fluency, accuracy and pronunciation. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan distributed the prizes and laid importance on such competitions for enhancing stage confidence.

With a purpose to create interest of the children in fruits, Green Land Convent School, Sector-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. Celebrated ‘Fruits Day’ that was completely devoted to fruits Tiny Tots were looking very pretty dressed in the style of various fruits. Children also recited poems based on fruits. Keeping in mind the present scenario of video games, internet, i-pods etc, green Land Convent School, Sector-32, Chd. Road, organized News-Paper Day. It was a step to inculcate the reading habits amongst the youngsters which are on a decline there days. Every student was asked to read a part of newspaper in one period. It created an intellectual atmosphere in the school. such competitions are a must to make children sensitive to present day society and its problems.

 

Diwali Celebrated With A Bang

Diwali, a festival of lights, was celebrated with a big boom and a bang at Green Land convent School, Sec 32, Chd. Road, Ldh. Students decorated their classes with balloons, buntings, sparklers, earthen lamps and candles. Rangoli competition was also organized at this occasion where the best Rangoli was adjudged by a group of teachers. All students who were in civil dress that day were in festive mood. With a purpose to enhance the physical capabilities of the students, Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, participated in a two days International open Karate Championship – 2011, held at Shri Shiv Chattrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi, Pune (Maharashtra) from 29th to 31st October, 2011, organized by Mah Sports Karate-do Association, National Karate Federation of India which is recognised by ‘School Games Federation of India.’ Students of six countries India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Iran participated in it. To commemorate the ‘World Daughters’ Day’ that wan on 26th September, Green Land Convnet School Sector – 32, Chd. Road, Ldh., celebrated ‘Daughters’ Day’ with great pomp and show. Due to upcoming Navratras, the importance of this day was all the more enhanced as ‘Kanya Pujan’ holds a special significance in these days. Dedicated to the infinite power of women, girls of the school displayed their wonderful talent through Dance, Fancy Dress and Poem Recitation. Group Dance presented by the tiny-tots of pre-primary wing was an added attraction. Green Land Convent School brought laurels to the city by winning 4 (four) Gold and 2 (two) Silver Medals in Karate-do Indo-Ryu Association International Competition held in Shimla recently. 160 students of 12 school participated in the competition. 6 students from Green Land Convnet School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. participated in this competition.
Avneet Kaur (50-55 kg) bagged Gold Medal, Sunidhi Samyal (35-40) Gold Medal, Vansh (30-35) Gold Medal, Dikshit (35-40) Gold Medal. Pavneet (50-55) Silver Medal and Rajesh (20-24) also bagged Silver Medal.

On this auspicious occasion the school was decorated with tricoloured balloons and flowers. The day started with Flag Hoisting ceremony by the Chairman-Cum-Director of chain of Green Land schools Sh. The Principal of the school Ms. Vinita Sanan paid homage to all the freedom fighters. ‘Graduation Ceremony’ at Green Land Convent School

The Graduation Ceremony of Kindergarten was organized at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road on Saturday, 6th August, 2011 in the School Campus. Sh. Rajesh Rudhra, Chairman of The Chain of Green Land Schools and General Secretary of the school Ms. Usha Rudhra graced the occasion. A warm welcome was accorded to Sh. Rajesh Rudhra, other eminent guests and the parents of the tiny tots by the Principal Mrs. Vinita Sanan and the staff members of the school.
The ceremony started with a prayer. Tiny-Tots performed a beautiful dance which was dedicated to their parents and teachers. Sh. Rajesh Rudhra conferred graduation certificates to the proud graduates of the Kindergarten. The young graduates felt proud on receiving their graduation certificates.
Sh. Rajesh Rudhra conveyed the méssage to the parents that children are the future of the Nation. So, one should leave no stone unturned to nurture them. Parents & Teachers should help them to develop confidence so that they can take their own decision in life. The Principal of the school Mrs. Vinita Sanan congratulated the parents and impressed upon the fact that children should be given quality time as they are our hope for the future.
The celebration was marked with colourful dance performances ‘I Am The Best’ and ‘Aas - Paas Hai Khuda’. The young toddlers mesmerized everyone with their innocent and cute gestures and added vibrancy to the occasion. The parents applauded the efforts put in by the school and staff.

 

Green Land Organises Solo Song Contest

Music is the soul of every living form. To prove it so, tiny-tots of Green Land Convent School, Sector-32, Chd. Road, Ldh., organized a Solo Song Competition. Students participated in it with great zeal and zest and sang songs belonging to almost every genre. Principal Mrs. Vinita Sanan, in her address, said that such competitions are a must to enhance the confidence and of course talent of the students.

 

STUDENTS OF Green Land CONVENT SCHOOL, SEC-32, CHD. ROAD, LDH. WON 12TH NATIONAL KARATE & KICK BOXING CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITION

M.R. Bahrti Model School, Mundaka, Delhi had organized 12th National Karate & Kick Boxing Championship competition on 18th & 19th July. In this competition about 500 players from Delhi, U.P, Punjab Bihar, Maharashtra, M.P, Rajasthan, H.P., Uttarakhand and Haryana participated vigoursly.
Five students from Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh, participated in this competition under the leadership of Sh. Pankaj Sahani. The students bagged the prizes and brought laurels to the school.
In the category 20 to 22 kg Rajesh Kumar bagged Gold Medal. 28 to 30 kg Vansh Sood won Rajat & 36 to 38 kg Sunidhi won Gold Medal and Jaspreet Singh won Bronz Medal. Davneet Kaur was hounoured with Gold Medal in the category of 40 to 42 kg. The principal of the school Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the winners and blessed them & wished to get such honour in future also.

Maa Keh Ek Kahani

A ‘Story Telling Competition’ was organized by the students of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh, under the title ‘Maa Keh Ek Kahani’. The participants came up with very intresting stories which even compelled the audience to hold their breath till the end. Such competitions are a must to improve the stage confidence of the students.

 

Talent Hunt Organised at Green Land Convent School

A talent hunt show was organized by Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. for tiny tots. All the students were dressed in colourful attires. They were dressed as Leaders, Policemen, Actors and Miss Punjaban and many more. Their talent was worthwatching. Everyone praised these tiny tots for their confidence

 

Van Mahotsava Celebrated at Green Land School

With a purpose to save environment from the effects of global warming, the eco-friendly group of students of Green Land Convent School launched ‘Each One Plant One’ drive. It was to celebrate Van Mahotsava that was initiated by Shri Sunderlal Bahuguna long back. Principal of the school, Mrs. Vinita Sanan, laid stress on such drives saying that these activities will act as a surviving factor for the environment and therefore must be pursued.

 

Mother’s Day Celebrated At Green Land

Mother- God’s best creation was paid a salute at green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. On this occasion children presented songs, poems and also presented short skits dedicated to mothers. This event turned out to be an emotional one. Principal, in her concluding address, advised the children to be highly respectful to their mothers because mother is the one and only one who thinks selflessly for the child.

 

Poster Making Gathers one and all

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, organized a Poster-Making Competition. Posters made by the children on various topics were put on display. Students had put lives into the lifeless situations. Students, teachers, parents came to see the poster and appreciated them. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan opined that such competitions develop the aesthetic sense of the children.

 

‘Beach Party’ in Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana organized a ‘Beach Party’ for the tiny tots of Nsy to I. It was a great enjoyment for the students on a hot summer day. The real beach scene was enacted for the students. The pool was decorated with colourful balls, toys, umbrellas & balloons. The young toddlers came dressed up in colourful swimming costumes. They danced on the tunes of popular songs. The students also enjoyed water games. This gayful celebration was appreciated by the Chairman cum Director of the school, Sh. Rajesh Rudhra and Principal Mrs. Vinita Sanan. They encouraged the teachers to organize such activities for in future also which enhance their personality and make them confident.
